Chapter 3

Bella's POV

My heart broke at those words. I felt my world come tumbling and crashing down. I had nobody left. I was alone. The one thing I was scared of. Covering my face with my hands, I began to weep softly.

"We're so sorry. I feel so guilty. The team tried our best, but it didn't work. If we can do anything, please let us know", the buzz cut doctor told me. I shook my head. "No there's nothing you can do. My Mom's gone, there's nothing anyone can do to make this better", I sob. Both Doctors looked shocked, not knowing that lady was my Mom.

Niall's POV

The young girl began to stand up, wiping her face. She walked out the automatic doors, disappearing into the distance. I looked at Liam, who looked just as heartbroken as me.

"I can't believe that was her mother. The girl's mother killed herself. The girl only looked to be 15 or 16", Liam said. I begna to feel more guilty than I should have. "Wait, something dosen't make since here", I said to Liam.

"Why was she the only family member at the hospital?" I continue. "Where were the other family members?" I looked to Liam. "The hospital only contacts the people on the patients list, or if they ask for someone else. Anyone who was not on that list dosen't get called", Liam tells me.

"I don't know, I just feel way too guilty for that poor girl", I sighed. Walking into my office, I saw Harry, Louis, and Zayn sitting at my desk, muffins laying there. "Hey, Louis bought some muffins. He heard about the surgery Liam and Harry went through, so he bought them as a gift", Zayn told Liam and I. "That was nice of Louis Anyway, Liam and I just met the daughter of the woman who was in the surgery", all 5 boys looked at me, interested.

"She looked to be around 15 or 16. Was the only family member there for Janice", I told them.

"That girl must be feeling awful. Why don't we go and make a care package. Put some candy, stuffed animals, I don't know, something nice", Louis suggested.

"We can look at Janice's file. It will tell us the address", I told them. "I think this will be a really good thing for that girl", Harry smiles.
