Bella Parker is a pogue mostly living on the south side of the outer banks living her best life with her 4 best friends. Kiara, Pope, John B and JJ
John B's dad disappeared 9 moths ago and when Bella and her friends find his compass they try to solve the mystery of what happened to him and end up looking for gold worth 400 million dollars.

She tries to help her friends while struggling with the relationship with her dad. Since Bella's mother died, her father changed. He pushed everyone away from him and Bella hated the north side of the island and everything that has anything to do with it.

She mostly lives on the south side of the outer banks but she is still tethered to her father. Bella is a competitive swimmer and she is very good at it. Because of that, Bella's father was using her talent for money and recognition.
Bella wants to quit but she's scared of her father's reaction. That's why she's stuck.
Stuck between her father's life and the pogue life.
