Normal POV

Shadow was standing outside the door, his hand on the handle.

"why can't you understand?!" Sonic yelled at Tails.

"underdtand what? That Shadow doesn't know how to be happy? He's an emo Sonic!"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Sonic yelled again. Shaodw just stood shock by the door from outside.

"Sonic!"Amy yelled at him.

"YOU TOO!" he yelled at her and she gasped and started crying.

"How can't you understand?! How do you expect him to be happy?! He had one best friend-no one FRIEND and she was BRUTALLY KILLED. And he couldn't do anything about it. He had to WATCH! He had to watch her die! I was just trying to make him happy, but he always pushes me away. He doesn't hate me, he doesn't have a reason! He just doesn't want to get attached to me! He is scared to lose again! "Sonic yelled while tears were streaming down his face.

What they didn't know is that Shaodw heard everything. He had his ruby eyes full of tears, some of them escaping down his muzzle. He placed his back next to the door and slid down the wall.

He had his head buried in his hands.

"he understands..." he sobbed to himself.

Sonic POV

I totally snapped at them. At Tails in particular, but in one hand at all of them.

They were still in the living room.

"You stay here" I told them. "I'll be back later"

Normal POV

'but not today' he thought.

He walked to his door and opened it than walked outside. Just as he closed the door he saw a black and red striped hedgehog sitting against a wall.

"Shadow" he slowly whispered.

No response.

"Shadz?" he called for him again.

Shadow was awake, but he didn't have the energy to talk.

"you poor thing..." Sonic said and took off his scarf that he was wearing since it was cold outsid.

He wrapped the scarf around Shadows neck.

He than slowly picked him up, and began walking to Shadows house.

"you're not heavy..." Sonic whispered to himself.

"but you're freezing cold.." He pressed his forehead against the others cheek and felt the coldness from it.

"how long have you been outside?"Sonic asked noone in particular.

He tightened his grip on Shadow and snuggled closer into him to try and warm him up a bit.

He entered Shadows house and closed the door the same way he opened it, with his foot.

He walked up to Shadows room and gently placed Shadow on the bed.

Shadow finally had the strength to open his eyes.

Sonic sighed in relief.

"good,you're okay.."

Shadows eyes filled with tears again.

Sonic saw that and quickly sat down next to Shaodw and hugged him, smoothening his quills.

"Shadow... There is no need to hold it back... Just let go... Cry..." he whispered into his ear and Shadow hugged him back and cried.
