Chapter Eight

~After IHop~

"That was filling!" i say, slightly patting my stomach. "Im not full," Niall says, intertwining our fingers. I giggle and look up at him. "Youre never full, Niall. If you said you were full, id think you caught my fever," i say through giggles. Niall laughs. "Can we go home now? I wanna eat," he says, looking into my eyes hopefully. I sigh and nod. He does his special jump and we run to the car. "Niall you plan on eating everything out of our pantry, dont you?" i say once we hop in the car. He nods and smiles brightly. I giggle and he drives home. All the way home, we laugh and sing along to the music on the radio. A couple of minutes later, we finally get home. Niall opens my car door for me and we run inside like little kids on sugar highs. "Wanna watch a movie?" i ask as Niall pokes his head in the fridge for some food. He takes out left over Chinese food from the other nght and looks at me with a mouthful of rice, nodding. He makes a "mmhmm" noise and i laugh, going into the living room to look for a movie. "The Hangover?" i ask, looking back at him. He nods and stuffs his face with chicken. I giggle and put it in the DVD player. I sit on the couch and Niall puts his arm around me. He offers me a piece of chicken and i gladly take it. Theres a knock on the door as the movie starts. "Ill get it," Niall says, getting up and giving me his chicken. I hear him open the door and talk to someone. "Not now, man. Im watching a movie with Rebecca," he says. I smile. "Come on! This is a one in a lifetime oppurtunity!" i hear a guy say. Who is that? It sounds like one of the boys. "I can just go before we leave for tour, Harry. Im with Rebecca right now," he says. They say goodbye and he shuts the door. Theyre leaving for tour soon? I look down sadly as Niall walks in. "Whats wrong?" he asks. A tear rolls down my cheek and he kneels down in front of me. I look into his eyes. "When were you gonna tell me youre leaving for tour soon?" i ask. He sighs and glances down, but immediately looking back up at me. "Im sorry, Rebecca. I was gonna tell you tonight... you heard my conversation with Harry, didnt you?" I nod, looking back down. He hugs me. "Im so sorry," he whispers into my neck. "Im not mad," i say emotionlessly. He pulls away, looking into my eyes with a confused face. "Than what is it?" he asks. I hug him again. "Im really gonna miss you," i say quietly into his ear. I can feel a tear fall onto my shoulder. "Niall please dont cry," i whisper. A tear falls down my face at the thought of him crying. He sniffs and pulls away, looking down and wiping his tears with his shirt. "Niall..." i say, making him look into my eyes. "Lets just enjoy this movie, okay? We gotta enjoy our time together," i say. He nods and smiles, sitting on the couch and pressing "play". During the whole movie, he starts cracking up, making me laugh as well. I cant stop laughing! Nialls laugh is so contagious. In the middle of the movie, Niall makes me laugh so hard i end up falling on the floor! The part in the movie wasnt that funny, but he laughed so funny! "Rebecca," he tries to say through laughs. I get up, but end up only having my arms on the couch. I cant stop laughing! Niall tries to help me up, but hes laughing so hard he ends up loosing his grip and i fall back, making me laugh even harder! The doorbell rings and i get up to get it. I reach the doorbell still laughing and i try to breathe. When i open the door, Alecia is staring at me like im a pshyco. She obviously heard us laughing. "Are you two high or something?" she asks, chuckling a little. I laugh. "No, were watching The Hangover and Nialls laugh is extremely contagious," i say casually. She nods. "So im guessing you dont wanna come to the mall?" she asks. I shake my head with an apologetic look. "Sorry! Maybe tomorrow? Maybe we can bring Danielle and Eleanor! Perries on tour so she obviously cant go," i say. Alecia nods and we say goodbye. I walk back to Niall and plop onto the couch. He presses play and we continue watching the movie.

~After The Hangover~

Im soout of breath! Ive been laughing for the past two and a half hours! "Niall. I need to breathe. Hold on," i say, out of breath and still giggling slightly. "Your laugh is way too contagious," Niall says, also out of breath. I giggle. "So is yours! I dont think im able to laugh anymore." I take a deep breath and smile. Ive been having such a good time with Niall lately. "Hey! I almost forgot! Theres a carnival in town! Wanna go?" he asks. I nod. "Of course!" He takes my hand and we skip outside, looking like idiots. And i know what youre thinking. I havent forgotten about Devin. I cry about him when Niall isnt looking. Sometimes i wake up in the middle of the night and cry in our bathroom. I feel like i should text Isabelle. Y'know, see how shes doing. I havent talked to her in about a week. I get in the car and get out my phone to text her.

Me: Hey! Just wanted to see how you were doing. Im still pretty gutted :/ whats up?

I slip my phone into my back pocket and Niall begins to drive. My phone starts to ring.

UH! Hey, boy you never had much game! Thought i needed to upgrade so --

"Hey!" i answer. Its Isabelle. "Hey, Becca! Guess where i am..." she says, trailing off. I sigh. The cemetery. Shes always there when she has free time. "Belle, youre gonna make yourself even more depressed," i say with concern in my voice. She breathes in and i can tell shes been crying. "Go talk to my mom. I know shed love to have you over. You were always like a second daughter to her. And you still are," i say. "Okay... ill go talk to her," she says. We hang up and Niall glances at me. "What happened?" I look down, wiping a tear that finally decided to show up. "That was Isabelle. She was at Devins grave," i say. He holds my hand reassuringly as we pull into the parking lot for the carnival.
