I sigh pulling the t-shirt over my torso while looking myself over in the standing mirror in the corner.

Sighing, i make my way back over to my bed sitting on it criss cross apple sauce. I notice my neighbor on the phone in his room, it looked like he was in some type of argument.

Probably with that ridiculous girlfriend of his.

Rolling my eyes i start picking at my nails, not wanting to spy on him to much.

My music blasts loudly to ke$ha, bobbing my head i take another look over at jake.

He has a girlfriend stop!

Not a very good girlfriend. She's controlling.

When will he realize he belongs with me and not her? I know that sounds wrong and probably a little petty but its true.

The next day i was sitting on the bench waiting for the bus when jake plopped down next to me.

"we had another fight last night." He sighed moving his hand effortlessly through his hair.

"Im sorry. I wish i could help you in someway" he shrugged, closing his eyes when his girlfriend valerie pulled up in her convertible.

"I gotta go, have a good day kotah" he smiled at me before getting into valeries car.

later on in the day rumor had gone around school that jake was single, he had broken up with valerie when she caught her kissing some other dude.

i search through the school to find him, hoping i could cheer him up in some way or another.

"hey jake-"

"i love you" he stood from the bench that he was currently crouched over on, making his way towards me and connecting our lips into a kiss, "i have since the day i moved into the house next to yours. everynight i see you dancing around in your room singing into your hairbrush in that oversized shirt that you stole from me and my heart just aches because i've told you "

"i love you too jake."

"go to prom with me, be my girlfriend please"

"yes to both"
