Mary's POV
Today is Rhoda's birthday, I was up all night working on Rhoda's gift and Melissa helped me with it. When I got up this morning I was a bit tired but I couldn't sleep all day because of my lover's special day. I have two gifts for her and I think she is gonna love them.
Mary was in the kitchen making breakfast for Rhoda and Melissa. Suddenly Rhoda walked towards them sleepily as she just got up from a deep sleep Melissa was the first one to noticed Rhoda there, "Happy Birthday Mama" Melissa spoke excitedly as she ran up to Rhoda and gives her a big hug. Rhoda smiled sleepily at this moment "thank you baby" Rhoda replied as she picked Melissa up and and kisses her sweet forehead and tickles her which, made Melissa giggle.
Rhoda as she puts Melissa down, Mary went up to her lover and greets her with a kiss "Happy Birthday Rho" Mary said as she clung gently "thank you Mare, what you cooking?" Rhoda asked as she pecked Mary's lips and takes a whiff of the breakfast that Mary made. "Oh I just made Eggs and Bacon" Mary replied "do you want some?" Mary asked "sure Mare" Rhoda responds as Mary pecks her lips one more time before she had to go back to the kitchen.
As all three of them eat breakfast together, Mary decided to give Rhoda's gifts to her at this moment. "Rho" Mary spoke "yeah Mare?" Rhoda responded as she puts her dish on the coffee table, "Millie and I have two gifts for you from us, hey Millie can you get the gifts from Mama and I's bedroom?" Mary asked her daughter "of course Mommy" Melissa replied as she smiled at Mary and Mary smiled back at her beautiful daughter, she ran to Rhoda and Mary's bedroom.
"Aw Mare baby you didn't have to get me anything" Rhoda said as she smiled happily at her lover "I know Rho but it's your birthday and I want to make it special because Melissa and I love you" Mary replied as she pressed her lips against Rhoda's. Minutes later, Melissa came back with Rhoda's gifts she gave it to Rhoda with a smile on her face "thank you kid" Rhoda spoke as Melissa sat on Rhoda's lap and Mary was next to her on the sofa. Rhoda opened the present and it was a photo album of her and Mary and also, Melissa when she was a baby, "aw guys" Rhoda spoke as she tried not to get emotional about her gift "this is absolutely beautiful" Rhoda said as she kissed Melissa's cheek and then she kissed Mary on the lips, Melissa looked at the them kissing and covers her eyes as a typical five year old would do when he or she would see their parents kiss each other.
Rhoda and Mary laughed at their daughter's response "aw kid you will know when you are older" Rhoda said to her daughter as she hugged her daughter tightly and kissed her again once more. They looked at the photos in the album, following down memory lane Melissa seen photos of her Mothers that she never seen before and she looked at photos of herself when she was a baby at the hospital. Mary rest her head against Rhoda's shoulder while looking at the pictures. "This is wonderful" Rhoda spoke "just beautiful" she said she looked at Mary and Melissa, "that's not all Mama" Melissa said "there's a letter that Mommy and I did for you" Melissa gave the letter innocently.
Rhoda gently took the letter out of her daughter's hand and looked at Mary with a little bit of shock and confusion. "Mare" Rhoda said confused "just read it Rho I think you will get the point" Mary replied as she winked at her lover. Rhoda slowly opened the letter and it starts...

The first time I met you, you hit me like a light. I started to fall in love with you quickly and easily, I love you so much you don't even know. You are a the best partner woman can ever have in their life, you are an amazing mother to our beautiful daughter Melissa Faye Richards-Morgenstern, and trust me she loves you too. I want say is I love you with all of my heart and soul, I'm happy and blessed to have you in my life. You are a beautiful woman inside and out, you have so much potential you have no idea. I love your smile, the way you make me laugh, your beauty and your grace there is so much I love about you. Thank you for everything that you do for me and for Millie, when we found out I was pregnant with Melissa it was really scary for both of us to become parents for the first time. When we found out that Melissa was born with a heart defect I remember you not taking the news very well and you would cry for hours and hours, I remember when we visited Melissa in the hospital in the Special Care Unit and you would refused to go home without our Baby girl. In that moment, I knew you cared for Millie so much and I loved her so much as well. When Melissa had her open heart surgery, she was in pain due to fresh scar across her chest. It broke your heart so much you hated to see her in so much pain and discomfort, during nights in the hospital you would cuddle and snuggle with her in the hospital bed when I wasn't able to be their with her during my work shifts at night and Millie and I thank you so much for that. Thank you so much for taking care of me when during my lows, God only knows what I would do without you by my side. Life would not be as joyful without you, I love you so much Rhoda Faye.

As Rhoda was finished reading the letter, she had tears streaking down cheeks. She hugged Melissa tighter as if she will never see her again and kisses her over and over again "Mama why are you crying?" Melissa questioned as she was wiping her mother's tears "don't worry baby these are just happy tears" Rhoda replied to her daughter as she hugged her again. "I love you so much you two, this is the best gift ever" Rhoda said as she kissed Mary passionately as Melissa got off her lap. "And Rho there is one more gift that we have for you" Mary replied as she looked deeply into Rhoda's eyes, "what is it?" Rhoda asked "Millie do you want to tell Mama what the last gift is?" Mary asked her daughter.
Melissa smiled brightly as ever "I'm gonna be a big sister!!!" Melissa screamed, Rhoda's eyes became widen she looked at Mary with shock and disbelief at first. Mary nods her head and smiled at her, she puts Rhoda's hand on Mary's stomach "Rho baby I'm pregnant" Mary said with tears coming from her eyes with happiness. "Are you serious!!!" Rhoda replied excitedly and happily as she hugged Mary tightly as ever and sobbed in her arms, "I love you so much Mare you don't even know" Rhoda said as she kissed Mary passionately again "I love you too Rho" Mary replied as she kissed her back.
"I love you Mama and Mommy" Melissa said as she ran up to her Mothers and kissed them both. "We love you too Millie Bear" Mary said with a smile. Melissa went into a bedroom all excited of becoming a Big Sister.
