“ Tomorrow, at cafe. You need to tell me everything.” Krystal whisper as she hug her best friend.

Naeun glance over her shoulder nervously. Kai leaned against the door frame, looking down at his shiny black shoes while waiting for her.

“ You know, I can stay for another hour here. So I can tell you everything.” She whisper back.

Krystal fix a hard glare on her. “ No, you are not. It's already late and it dangerous if you go down there alone.”

“ You can go with me like we always do. Beside, aren't this apartment was signed with a high maintenance security? This is elite place, it's safe.” Naeun argue.

“ Why are you so determine on avoiding him?” Krystal ask back instead of answering, doubtful fill inside her eyes.

Naeun sigh in defeated and glance over Kai once again.  Instead on finding him look down at his shoes like he was do earlier, he was -right in that moment- also looking at her.

Their eyes held on each other for a few moments. The hard look that he pinned on her sending a shiver through her spine as Naeun quickly break her eyes away from him and put her focused back on her best friend.

Krystal looks at her with an amused smile mix with curiosity. Naeun face turn into a beet red as she stammered in her word. “ F-fine..Uumm.. Meet a-at cafe tomorrow morning in ten.” Was all she said and Krystal smile once again before she pat her best friend shoulder.

“ Ready?” Kai ask when she reached his side.

Naeun put a timid smile on her face and muttering a ‘yes’ with a nod. Kai bid his goodbye to the pair behind her back. She could hear Krystal say something in respond but she couldn't make it clear in what she had say as Naeun already five feet away from Krystal’s apartment door.

She just want to get away as soon as possible from Kai.

Krystal was set this up intentionally, she knew something was up between them which was why she pull out this stunt the moment Kai announce that it was his night and it time for him heading home. Naeun press the elevator button hard enough and cross her arm around her chest in silent protest.

Apparently, her best friend had this great idea that it was a best time for her as well to heading home. And it less dangerous since she had Kai would accompany her to the parking lot.

Naeun nearly stomp her feet like a child but she had to hold herself for doing it and nod in agreement.

She was deep in her own thought that she didn't aware Kai already stood behind her until a warm hand press against her lower back when the door slid open making her jump in surprise.

“ I'm sorry.” Kai look at her sheepishly. “ The door already open but you are still wrapped in your own world. So I thought I need to wake you up. ”

Naeun’s cheek flushed in embarrassment. She quickly step her foot inside the elevator and stood in the corner with eyes fix firmly at the metal door that was slowly close. Silently cursed in the back of her head on how easily she was caught of guard. She should be aware. She need to be careful and don't let him take advantage of her as he did at the kitchen earlier.

‘ But you like it.’ The voice in her head argue.

SHUT UP. Naeun rolls her eyes and glances over her side. Her entire body suddenly froze as she realises that Kai had been staring at her. Not with a glint of amusement. Neither there was a humour dance around his eyes. The look he give her was the same look that he have while waiting for her earlier. His eyes was hard. And there was something. Something that Naeun could not mistake it as lust. Lust.
