•Ali’s POV•
These past two days have been awkward, for both me and Austin. I never thought this would ever happen. Ever. We’ve always been the type to just joke around, not actually fall in love. Austin has been my rock through everything, and when I need him the most, he’s my reason I’m falling apart.
I wiped away the tears and stood up, opening my arms out wide, so I could stretch them out. I walked over to the dresser and pulled out my favorite pair of tie-dyed ripped jean shorts, and a black tank with a peace sign bedazzled on it. Slipping on the clothes, I grabbed a hair band, pulling my hair up into a ponytail. I walked over into the bathroom, grabbing my makeup bag.
I washed my face, and applied a mineral foundation, along with mascara and black eyeliner. I felt like going easy today on the makeup today, I walked out of the bathroom, noticing Austin still sleeping. I forget we were sharing the hotel room. I put my bag back, and grabbed my black vans, after I had put them on, I walked over to the side of the bed Austin was sleeping on. I shook him slightly, his eyes fluttered open, telling me he was awake.
“We need to talk.” I said, while he looked at me sleepily.
“Okay, what about?” he replied, his voice raspy and low.
“I think right now we should just be friends, okay? Let’s try to not have it be awkward between us, I want to be the way we were before. Got it?”
“Listen, Ali. You’re my bestfriend, and you mean the world to me, I was angry yesterday, at the fact that you didn’t tell me about Alex. I didn’t think about what I was saying, and I was jealous. I was afraid he was going to take you away from me. It meant nothing to me, I don’t really like you in that way, I only think of you as a sister.”
I stood there mouth open, eyes wide, and shocked. It meant nothing.
“Now, if I’m allowed, I’d like to go take a shower.” Austin said, smirking. I laughed and moved away from his bed. As I walked over to the door, I yelled over my shoulder, “I’m going to get some breakfast!”
~10 minutes later~
It meant nothing. Nothing. He didn’t feel the same way. Should I be happy or sad? I’m so confused right now. After grabbing the bagel from downstairs I walked back up to Dave and Alex’s room and knocked. A very exhausted looking Dave opened the door.
“Hey!” I said cheerfully, giving Dave a big smile, before walking in the room. He gave me a weird look and closed the door. Alex is still sleeping, I smiled sneakily and walked over to his bed. I climbed on it slowly, trying to be quiet.
“ALEX! WAKE. UP!” I screamed at the top of my lungs, while jumping up and down on the bed. He woke up so quick, it could be a world record. He started laughing when he saw it was me jumping up and down.
“Ali. What are you doing?” Alex laughed out. I stuck my tongue out at him and grabbed his hand, pulling him up on the bed, making him jump with me. We stood there jumping for at least 10 minutes, but me being my clumsy self, ended up falling, bringing Alex down with me, him falling on top of me.
“Hey guys. What’s u-oh. Am I interrupting something?” Austin’s voice entered the room, causing both me, and Alex to stop laughing. We were still holding hands, I quickly unclasped my hand away from his and stood up.
•Austin’s POV•
After I had finished my shower, I heard Ali’s voice screaming.
‘Alex! Wake. Up!’ I laughed,she was waking him up. I walked over to my suitcase, grabbing a pair of Jordan athletic shorts, a Jordan shirt, and a pair of Nike socks, taking my Jordan high-tops with me. After about 10 minutes I heard a big crash, with a lot of laughter. Ali probably knocked something over. Per usual. I chuckled lightly to myself, before walking over to Dave and Alex’s room.
“Hey guys. What’s u-oh. Am I interrupting something?” I asked staring at the scene in front of me. Alex was on top of Ali, they were holding hands, and had just stopped laughing. Alex quickly got off of Ali, and Ali released his hand. She stood up and looked at me. Her cheeks turned a dark color of crimpson, while she looked at me.
“Nope. Just being my clumsy self I fell, and kind of brought Alex down with me, and he just fell on top of me. Nothing new.” She said, smiling, then beginning to chuckle.
“Yeah, what she said.” Alex replied after, smiling at her. She stuck her tongue out at him, and he laughed.

•Ali’s POV•
I swallowed hard and smiled. This is embarrassing, I thought to myself. Wait, what? I’m embarrassed in front of Austin? I’ve never had that happen before. Oh well, I looked over at Austin, seeing him look at me with curiosity. I smiled, and he smiled back.
“So…who wants to go shopping?” I suggested, both of the boys nodded their head, following me to the door.
“Dave! We’re going shopping!” I yelled, I was replied with an ‘Okay’ from Dave.

“Were to first guys?” I asked excitedly as we arrived at the mall.
“How about we go to, uhm, Sporting Edge?” Austin suggested. I smiled and nodded my head, walking in the wrong direction.
“Hey Ali, it’s this way.” Alex said, I smiled awkwardly, turning around.
When we walked into the store, I noticed a pair of Jordans that caught my eye. They were black, with a pink sparkly Nike sign on them. I walked over to them, picking them up and admiring them.
“Could I help you?” I guy, whom I assumed worked there asked. His nametag said Kyle.
“Yeah, uhm. I’d like to know if you had my size in these? I need a size seven and a half.” He nodded and walked back to the storage room. After about two minutes of waiting, he came back out with the shoebox. He smiled and handed me the box. I tried on the shoes, and smiled satisfied. I looked over at Alex and Austin, they were talking about something, laughing.
“Guys. I’m going to go buy these.” I said, interrupting them. They nodded their heads, waving me off.
I walked over to the check-out stand, and handed them the box. I hadn’t taken the shoes off yet.
“Could I wear these out of the store?” I asked, smiling at the cashier. She smiled back.
“Yeah! Of course! Just let me get the price tag. Could I see the tag?” I handed her the shoe, and grabbed my debit card from dad.
“Here you go.” She said, giving me one last warm smile.
“Thank you.” I said, returning the smile.
I walked back over to the boys, and tapped their shoulders.
“I’m ready. Let’s go to the next store.” I said, smiled. The boys laughed, and began walking, one on each side of me. I can’t think of any way this day could get better.
