Chap 10

*Clay POV*

(End of the school year)

(in the hallway going to lunchroom)

I've been really trying to be a nicer person now. But I still lash out sometimes, but it's not as bad as before. Though I would stop hanging out with Mega and Callahan but then again I wouldn't have anyone else to hang with. Zak, Darryl, and Adam have there own lives and relationships.

(Clay bumped into someone snapping him out of his thoughts)

Clay: Hey! Watch where you're going. (he shouted angrily)

George(a bit scared at his tone): S-Sorry. (he walked off fast)

Clay:(facepalms) I shouldn't have shouted.

*in lunchroom*

Mega: So Clay, I saw you talking to Samantha at the lake.

Clay: I already said I'm not interested.

Dave: Dude come on, it's high school you have to get a girlfriend.

Clay: Yeah, I don't want to date anyone. You would think you find "love" but it doesn't last.

Dave: Well Nick seems pretty good with his girlfriend.

Mega: Yeah, she's like really hot. He really scored.

Clay: So what? He'll probably just leave her for someone else.

Dave: I dunno, from I heard he was dating her for like a year.

Mega: Are you jealous or something Clay? Samantha is hotter so you can score better than him.

Clay: I'm not! You know what, I don't care. I'm leaving. (gets up)

Mega: Whoa calm down. It's like you always get upset whenever we talk about Nick.

Dave: Yeah, you act like he cheated on you or something.

Clay: (was going to say something but just walked off angry)

They're just so annoying, always talking about getting girlfriends and then bring up Nick. Why can't they just forget about him, he's irrelevant. I'm just gonna go home,

*skip to Clay's house and afterschool*

(Clay's Dad walk up to Clay's room upset)

CD: Clay!

Clay: What now.

CD: Why did you leave school early again. You better not have been hanging out with those kids.

Clay: I haven't. I just left and came here, I was just- never mind it's not important.

CD(noticing somethings up): Did something happen?

Clay: What? No, I'm fine. Just leave me alone.

CD: You know, if something is bothering you,  I could tell you been bothered for a while.

Clay: I'm fine... just leave me alone.

CD: Did something happen between you can Nick? I know he transferred but he still lives in this town, and you haven't talked to each other since. And you've been acting differently.

Clay: Just leave me alone.

CD: Okay, but I'm here for you if you want to talk.

*George POV*

(Still in school)

It's already the end of the year and it went pretty well, I've just been hanging with Nate all the time, we still had other friends but those friends are just school friends. Me and him would just go to each other's houses play games cheat homework and yeah it was pretty great. even after all this time I still haven't gotten over my feelings towards him. I trust him enough to tell him about me at least, but I'm more scared of telling him about my feelings.

Nate: So George, what do you do during summer break.

George: Usually just stay home. But this during the break I'm going to England to see my Dad.

Nate: Oh that's cool, but how come you don't all live together?

George: Well, the town we lived in was pretty dangerous so my Dad sent us here since it's supposed to be safer.

Nate: Oh I'm sorry.

George: Don't worry, it's all fine now. Besides everything is better. But what about you, what are your plans.

Nate: Hmm, I don't yet. My family usually makes plans last minute. So I don't really know yet.

(bell rings)

Nate: Looks like school is officially over.

George: Yeah...

Nate: Well since we still have time to hang out, let's play some video games.

George: Yeah of course. (Goes to George's house)

We played games at my house, and while playing I started getting some motivation to come out to him.

George(nervous): Um Nate.

Nate: Yeah, what's up.

George: I- I gotta tell you something.

Nate: Is everything okay? What is it? 

George: I- I'm... really going to miss you when I leave.

Nate(smiling a bit): I'm going to miss you too, besides we still have time to hang out and you'll only be there for a month or two. We can text constantly.

George: Yeah definitely.

Dammit, I just couldn't do it, why am I so scared of telling him? We're best friends, he won't hate me. Right?
