Chap 11

*George POV*

*During summer break in England*

I'm now in England with my family. As happy as I am seeing my Dad I still miss Nate. He's the only person who doesn't dislike me. I can't help but think about him all the time and text him every day. We do text or call every day but it's not the same. I just want to see him and... be with him.
Know what, I'm going to confess to him. I'll text him it, it will be much easier than telling him a person. I'll need some help, hopefully, it will go well.

(George walking in Adam's room)

George: Hey um, Adam?

Adam: What's up?

George: So y'know my friend Nate.

Adam: I already know you have feelings for him.

George: You didn't even let me say anything.

Adam: I know how you are, you would always crush on your friends. So, what are you gonna do?

George: I want to at least tell him about me, and maybe confess my feeling towards him.

Adam: Are you sure? What if he-

George: If he stops being my friend it's fine. A true friend wouldn't judge you for who you are.

Adam: So you're going to tell him when we go back.

George: I don't know, I'm thinking of just texting him it. 

Adam: Confessing through text. That's literally what little kids do.

George: Shut up!

Adam: Don't worry, I'll help you. Give me your phone.

George: What are you going to say?

Adam: What I told my crush.

George: You have a crush? Who's that?

Adam: That's a secret you won't know. (takes George's phone) Now let's see. (types something)

George: What are you writing? (sees what he wrote) Don't say that!!

Adam: What? I told my crush that and they liked it.

George: Yeah but I'm not a wild animal like you.

Adam: Well that is is true, you're not ready for stuff like that. I'll write something more wholesome. (Writes something but then stops) Actually, if you have feelings for someone you have to tell them. It would mean more.

George: But I've never confessed to a crush.

Adam: Well, just try. Just say how you feel.

George(nervous): Okay. (Types something and sends)

George: Nate, I really have to tell you something.

Adam: Now we wait.

(Five minutes go by)

George: He texted back.

Nate: What is it, everything okay?

George: Yeah, it's just I really have to tell you something important.

Nate: Okay go for it.

George: I'm kinda scared Adam. He doesn't even know I'm gay.

Adam: Don't worry, just be tell him your feelings.

George: (takes a deep breath) Okay. (Starts typing something.)

George: Nate, we've been great friends for a long time now and during that time I started seeing you differently.

Nate: Differently? What do you mean?

George: I really like you Nate. I want to be more than friends with you.

Nate: You're... gay?

George: Yeah, I am.

(Nate doesn't respond for a while)

George: Adam he's not saying anything else, what do I do ?!? Do I say something or-

Adam: Calm down. He's probably just taking it all in.

(Phone dinged)

George: Ah!! He texted back. (Threw his phone across the room) I'm too scared to see that response.

Adam: Just man up and see. (Goes to pick up the phone and gives it George) Come on just open it.

George: (takes a really breath and opens the text)

Nate: Don't ever speak to me again.

George(just sitting there shocked): I- I- (tears start forming)

Adam: What did he say? (Looks over at his phone) Oh... that's no good.

George: I can't believe it, he just stopped being friends with me. Just like that. (Starts sobbing)

Adam: Hey hey, don't worry. (Rubs his back comforting him) Look, if he doesn't accept you for you who you are he was never a friend, to begin with.

George: I should've just kept my mouth shut, I do not want to go back to having no friends.

Adam: No it's good you said your feelings. He's an asshole who just stop being friends with people just because they're different.

George: But- (gets cut off)

Adam: Try talking to him in person when we go back. Maybe talking to him in person would work it out for you two. Maybe he's just too shocked to find out this way. Don't blame yourself.

George: Yeah, you're right. Maybe things can still get better.

Adam: If anything, I'll introduce you to someone when we get back. He could use some friends who aren't trouble makers.

George(feeling a bit better): Yeah, that sounds nice. Thanks, Adam.

Adam: Anytime little bro.
