Wang Zhuo Cheng woke up with a horrible headache after the last night's drinks with Zhan. They kept drinking till morning, one bottle after the other till they both passed out on the spot. Cheng found himself in an embrace of his older brother, one of Zhan's hands were holding his side while his leg was thrown on Cheng's. The older brother was clinging to him like a koala bear, low bearly noticeable snores escaping the parted lips through clenched teeth.

Zhuo Cheng slightly crooked his body up, his elboys holding the weight of the body in the air as he glanced around the room. It was probably a little bit past noon due to the sun's annoying presence coming through the windows of the living room. He carefully shifted himself from Zhan, got ahold of the couch's handle, and with a slight force rose up. The horrible urge to vomit showed it's way up his throat making the younger guy rush to the bathroom on the first floor. It took him a few tries to emancipate the disgusting liquid out when the feeling subsided. Leaving the washroom behind him, Cheng stilly walked up the stairs to his room and closed the door so his brother could sleep with no disturbance in the air. He trudged to his own bathroom, pushed the shower curtains to a side, and stepped inside. The shower didn't last long since Cheng had to leave for work at 4 in the afternoon.

After the shower, he dressed up in whatever he could find inside his wardrobe and stepped out. This whole time Cheng was too occupied to notice the time thanks to nausea he felt, but when he glanced at the clock which was hanging on the wall, his face changed from grumpy to petrified. 5:15 pm.

"Great, I'm late."

He rushed downstairs, grabbed his wallet, phone, house keys, shoved his feet into ragged van's shoes, and left the house with a bang of the doors slamming back to its original place. 20 minutes passed as he stood in front of his workplace, the place where he's been an employee for 5 years. The place belongs to the multimillionaire Lan Qi Ren, but instead, his son Lan Haikuan was taking care of this place. Cheng opened the shop's door, stepped inside, and rushed to the employee's changing room. His shirt flew to the locker, his pants following as well as he swiftly threw black tuxedo pants, a white shirt which he tucked inside the pants, and a black tuxedo vest. The attire was screaming elegance as the restaurant's name was prominent in the province. Cheng glanced at the mirror which was on the side of the locker door before closing it shut. What he didn't expect was a man's figure behind the locker's door that made him jump on his spot.

"Mr. Haikuan." He said and bowed.

"You're late." The man retorted while stepping closer to Cheng. "Mind explaining why?"

"I've drunk a bit too much yesterday and woke up late today."

"That's your excuse?" Haikuan questioned as his hand delicately ruffled Cheng's hair. "Today, after work, I'll be expecting you at my condo." He smiled and vanished behind the doors.

One would expect for Cheng and Haikuan to be good work pals, one as an employee, another as a boss. But the truth is never so lusciously sweet.

It all changed for Cheng when his old boss left the restaurant 2 years ago and Lan Haikuan took over. At first, Cheng thought that the well-mannered, sophisticated, discreet persona was sweet to his employees. He was always there to help when needed and even took over some shifts when one fell ill so the work wouldn't get too hard for the others. But the delightful dream didn't last long for Cheng.
