Chapter 5
As waited for the people to slowly clear out, I sat on the edge of the stage, watching and just waiting. Admiring some people and even feeling slight pangs of jealousy.
"So how'd we do?" I head a voice from behind me. I turned my head and found Luke standing there, anticipating my answer.
"Honestly, you guys were fucking awesome," I admitted, getting up to stand next to Luke, he helped me up, assuring that I didn't fall.
"Were we really that good?" Luke blushed, his smile secretly melting me.
"Yes! You and Lex should do a duet some time," I said, loud enough for Lex to here. She did, causing her to jump up on stage, walk up to me and punch me in the shoulder. I gave her a look and in return she hit me harder.
"If anyone is doing a duet with Luke, it's you Chey," Lex laughed pushing me lightly.
"You can sing?" Luke asked, giving me a look of curiosity.
"She can do more than sing. She also plays guitar and drums," Lex spilled my secret. I blushed hard, hiding my face in my hands.
"Sing us something!" Luke smiled, then rushing over to get his guitar. He came back placed the strap over shoulder. He grabbed me a stool to sit on and a microphone. By now there was only a few people left, lingering around.
I took a deep breath. I started playing guitar for a few notes before I started to sing "Titanium by David Guetta".
"You shout it out
But I can't hear a word you say
I'm talking loud not saying much
I'm criticized
But all your bullets ricochet
Shoot me down, but I get up
I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away," I sang the first two verses and looked around. Lex had a smug look on her face. I felt my face turn bright pink.
"Holy shit.." Luke gasped. His eyes wide, just like the rest of his band.
"Yeah I know I'm not the greatest," I mumbled, biting the left side of my bottom lip. My eyes flashed with emotions.
"Not the greatest?! What are you talking about?! You're amazing!" Luke exclaimed, hugging me. I smiled and hugged him back. Only to be hugged by bother Luke's friends and my pack.
"Thanks Luke," I mumbled into his chest, due to how much taller he is.
After hugging for what seemed like forever, we all left to go get food. We ate our fills at a local buffet and headed home. I was excited to get to know my 4 new friends.
