As a few officers ran after her and left the cabin just a few seconds later, the teen seemed to have vanished.
Taime helped getting off the metal on the back wall of the closet. That took the team ten minutes, the boy complained that he wouldn't have taken as long if the cops weren't in his way.
The next part was closed off with concrete, and the white haired boy explained that they would need Alistor to help with that. The next twenty minutes went by slowely, Brooks asked a few more questions about Ali.
Exactly thirty minutes after she had left, the white haired girl stood in the room again.
"How is she?", Taime asked carefully.
"I was right", Alistor sighed," her circulation collapsed."
Brooks asked her if she could get through the concrete, to which Ali replied with a sigh.
"Of course I can get through that", she hissed," It's not hard."
Taime laughed at the confused looking people, as Ali stepped closer to the closet.
"Taime, I need the things please", she said quietly.
"Aye aye Captain!", the boy laughed and grabbed a knife out of his cloak. Then he went over to the kitchen and got a lighter out. He quickly handed Ali the things and stepped back.
The girl stood there for a moment, then she sighed and cut open her hand. The policemen wanted to intervene, but Tai somehow managed to hold them back.
"The bowl", Ali growled.
The boy quickly handed her a small metal bowl he took out of his cloak. Ali let her blood drip into it for a bit, then she dried her hand off in her pants. The red stain on the white fabric sent a shiver down Fate's spine.
The next thing Ali did, was lighting the lighter and holding it to the cut, sealing it closed. Then she poured the blood onto the concrete, which began to melt.
As she turned around again, everyone except Taime stared in awe.
"I didn't lie when I said she was poisonous. A bear died because it got her blood onto his tongue and swallowed. Dumb thing, I'd never swallow something that made my tongue melt", Taime started to explain, but quickly got lost.
"That's crazy", Fate whispered.
Ali laughed and stepped to the side. "No, more like your ticket to remember everything. Let's go", the white haired girl responded coldly.
Fate stared at her, until she managed to ask:"Is that even something I want to remember?"
"Probably not, come on!", Taime responded. He had already walked up to the hole in the wall. "Think of it as a rabbit hole. And you're the rabbit", the boy continued and crawled in.
"Hey, wait up!", Alistor laughed and wanted to run after him, as Brooks got a hold of her arm again.
"First goes half the team. Then Fate. Once she is downstairs, you can go and we'll follow", the officer explained coldly.
Ali had to wait a whole twenty minutes until she was allowed to go down. She, of course, wouldn't stop annoying Jamie and the other officers during that time. But as it was her turn, she didn't crawl in like the rest did. The girl seemed to see the way down as a slide, as she sat down with her feet first and quickly scooted inside.
Just a few moments later, Brooks found out why she did so. As soon as he got past the hole Ali had made, the floor became slippery and fell quickly. Taime caught him at the end, and if the boy wouldn't have done so, the man would have hit his head on a concrete floor.
The officer looked around. The room was huge, with a lot of shelves and cupboards, metal beds and a small metal table.
Ali stood with her back against the wall. Three guns were pointed at her, Fate tried to stay as far away as possible.
"Just wait", the white haired girl growled," she'll be more dangerous than me, she knows her way around here."
"I don't even know what this is!", Fate cried.
Taime was uncomfortable with the situation, Brooks could see it in the boy's eyes. As Ali jumped up a bit, the boy did so too.
"Alistor, calm down", he whispered. Taime's voice was so quiet, that the officer right next to him had trouble hearing the words. But Ali seemed to have heard him too.
She relaxed, her expression got empty. The girl sat down and closed her eyes. Then she said:"They're here."
Brooks thought she meant the rest of his team, but as he scanned the room, there were more than twenty faces he'd never seen before. And one that was very familiar, right in front of Ali.
"I thought you would do better, Alistor", Ashly growled.
The white haired girl kept her eyes shut, her voice was empty and cold as she replied:"You're not real. None of you but Fate. I won't let you hurt them anymore."
"But you can't save them", an older looking man said, he stood near Fate.
"And who's fault is that!", Ali yelled as she jumped back up. Her eyes lit up with furry, as she continued:"I know how to get rid of you. But we'll live forever, all of us! And it's your fault!"
Brooks heard Taime whine behind him, and turned around to see the boy being circled by three strangers.
The next sentence made the officer snap back around. A woman said:"He's faulty."
Ali tried to make her way towards the boy. But Ashly held her back.
"Leave him alone", Alistor cried, as she tried to fight against the woman's grip. But her moves seemed to have slowed and she seemed like a scared little girl.
"You're weak, Alistor. And yet you are the best one we've made. Why did you turn on us?", Ashly asked coldly.
The girl stopped fighting against her grip. "This is your fault. I am stronger than all of you together", she hissed," And I'm also a lot smarter!"
With that, she ripped her left hand out of Ashly's grip. The cut she made just a few minutes ago started bleeding again, but the girl didn't seem to care. She reached into the pocket of her pants and pulled out some green leaves.
"Don't you dare", Ashly hissed and tried to reach for the girl.
Alistor took a step back and snapped open the lighter.
