I clicked my tongue and swiftly placed the pencil behind my ear. It has been weeks since this art block has started. Dang, Unbelievable! I did everything to suck in specks of motivation but to no avail. I even invested my remaining savings to go on a hike because according to Riley it would regain my energy. I was dumb for believing him. Kahit na ginawa ko 'yon, marami pa rin akong naka line-up na projects at hindi man lang ako makagawa ng maayos na sketch. I almost burned my sketchpad into flames out of frustration. I took a quick glance at my nephew that was happily biking near me. How fortunate of him to experience that, huh. I love Fine Arts so much but sometimes I just wanna go ballistic. It's making me rethink my life decisions.

At this point, I have no idea what's truly going on.

"Hey, watch it!"

I blinked. Walang paligoy-ligoy akong tumakbo papunta kay Az, leaving my art materials behind--- gulat na gulat sa inasta ng babae sa limang taong gulang kong pamangkin. Is she fucked in the head or something?

I was taken aback by her attitude that I hastily shook my poor crying nephew's shoulders. "What..." I tried to wipe Az's tears away, however, the kid even gush more pitiful tears. My eyes darted on the woman strutting away from us. "Hey! At least say sorry!" I shouted, almost barking. But then, I guess she was too immersed in her own pea-brain to even show a slight remorse and turn her head to us. I cursed silently. The pavement was freaking wide for her to cross and she chose to roar on my nephew just because he got in her way?

Pero kasalanan ko rin naman. Hinayaan ko siyang maglaro mag-isa. Ipinilig ko ang aking ulo sa inis.

"Kuya!" Az sobbed more.

"Huwag ka na umiyak. Bibilhan kita ng ice cream kung good boy ka..." I hushed, trying to clean the invisible dust from his shirt. Bargaining is one of my strengths in babysitting even though he's not allowed to consume that. A big fat ass liar, I know.

Then it dawned on me. I paused on attending Az, slowly tilting my head back towards the direction of the woman who was almost out of my sight. That dress and figure... I know I've seen it somewhere. Nasa dulo na ng dila ko--- Ah! my memories from last night started to swim into focus. My eyes went wide as I snapped my fingers in realization.

"Help me with this, please..." The woman lazily trailed off, revealing her bare flawless back. I gulped hard because of her diction; crisp and precise. It's so... hot. It's making my cheeks warm.

The night made my skin crawl. It's unusual to feel this cold when it's still in the middle of the summer season. Even if I wore the hoodie I bought from the thrift store, it still didn't give me enough warmth. My lips parted by the sight of the guests. Are they for real?

"Told you, pare! It's more fun here than your apartment!" The hyped-up Riley clung his arms around my neck as he roam his eyes around the lively place. It's screaming "oh-la-la" that I couldn't help but roll my eyes heavenwards.
