Their loud synchronized laugh rang aloud in my ears like fading memories as I adjusted the strings of my baby, cigarette puffed in my mouth. Nights like this are one of my guilty pleasures, and of course, no single soul is going to admit that. Not even me. Pleasure, because these moments make the wine I purchased taste so fine, melting in my tongue and scent is godly mouth-watering. Guilty, because I normally don't idealize these activities--- bodies so open and language so easy to understand. I loathed myself for being in thrall to some certain emotions.

"Bilisan niyo naman oh!" Anwyn shouted while wheezing from suppressing her laughs, face looking towards the staircase to the second floor where Jethro and Cahil are currently residing. "Akala ko ba inuman lang?"

Cirila giggled, toying her Rubiks cube. "Parang hindi na kayo nasanay? Lucky for him, pinagbigyan siya ni Cahil ngayon."

I rolled my eyes heavenwards, a scoff came out from me. "That's rude. She invited us for what? wait for them to finish having sex?" They invited me just to wait for them to get out? It has been almost an hour and I'm already in my third glass of Bourbon. Everyone was so hell-bent to invite me and this is what I will witness?

Nathan chuckled lightly. He was holding a game console in his hand. It was kind of unfair that he has to stay sober the whole night for us to have a sane driver if things get pretty cranky. "You can at least say the less vulgar term," his eyes drifted to Erika who was cringing after tasting her share of alcoholic drink. "May santo rito."

Erika's supposed to be in her house at the moment because of her Christian parents. This group I'm currently in is funnily diverse that I never belonged to. I knew they hated me as much as I abhor that orange sea cockroach, but they still stayed for whatever reason, anyway.

My brows knitted, following his line of vision. "Why grandiose the word? We are all grown adults here." It's such an irksome that they have to defend the demure Erika. Or the alcohol is just taking a toll in my system that everything makes me snap out of annoyance.

Anwyn, who was beside me, tapped my shoulders. "You don't have to be so defensive, Luna. Come on, loosen up! Birthday ngayon ni Cahil. Of course, they'll have fun for her birthday gift," I was about to pour another liquid but she grasped the translucent glass from my hold. "and stop drinking too much. I saw you got drunk last night. This obsession of yours is getting unhealthy na."

I eyed her incredulously, huffing out the clouds of smoke. I never paid her to act as my babysitter. "Then why did you let me come here? Your logic, Wyn! Oh my gods, you guys are getting on my nerves." My frown deepened. They're a bunch of college students and it baffles me how they snatch a time to drink until dawn! Lalo na at hindi pa tapos hell week nila. Acceptable naman kung ako lang ang laging umiinom, I got loads of free time in my hand. Whatever, I don't really care that much.
