Sorry, it's been so long guys. Hope you all enjoy this chapter. Thank you for sticking with me.

Thanks to everyone for making me write because I know you all enjoy this story and I enjoy writing this.

Please enjoy xx

I'm currently editing this piece of work - when I mean editing, I mean I'll be adapting the story and plot, and I will be checking for grammar and spelling mistakes, but I may miss some as my main focus is on shaping the story, so it flows well before I continue adding more chapters. I am sorry if it takes a while, but I do hope you'll all be patient with me.

I would recommend re-reading each new edited chapter as there may be changes that would fit in with future chapter and future edits.

Thank you for your time and I hope you enjoy.

If you do have any problems or any suggestions, please let me know.

"I hope you're gonna explain what the fuck is going on, Thomas," Polly spat out as we entered the kitchen. I guess Arthur and John had spoken to her.

Was he going to tell her the truth or make up some lie? I felt it only right that Polly knew seeing as John and Arthur did. Was he going to lie to her or tell her the truth? I felt it best to tell her the truth considering John and Arthur knew. If she found out from them we'd be worse off.

"Graves thinks Elsie and I are married," he said leaving me speechless. I guess he wasn't going to beat around the bush. Might as well come out with it and lay it all on the table.

"And you didn't think to correct him?" Polly walking around the table until she stood in front of Tommy. She was giving him her 'don't fuck with me' stare and I knew John and Arthur feared her when she had that look. It didn't seem to work on Tommy though. "When people hear about this ... do you know what this is gonna start? Her grandfather will be after your neck!" I closed my eyes at Polly's words. If she only knew that Papa was in on it. If she knew he encouraged it.

"He already knows," Tommy told her, a cigarette hanging from his lips as he lit it. Polly opened her mouth but closed it just as quickly.

He couldn't have mentioned anything else? How Papa had agreed to it because we'd told Graves we were married in the first place because Tommy wanted to make a deal with the man?

Polly closed her eyes, one hand covering her face as she mumbled under her breath. She was no doubt cursing Tommy for getting us into this situation.

"We should talk to Papa," I said interrupting whatever Polly was about to say. We had more pressing matters to deal with. Like the fact that Graves was going to come and rip my heart out if he didn't get a meeting with Papa by Friday.

"Why do you need to see Alfred?" Polly looked up sharply at the mention of Papa.

"He wants to make a deal with him." Tommy was being too blunt with her. It was only going to cause more problems and I really didn't want to be here when world war three started.

"Alfred would never—"

"He would if Elsie's life was threatened." Tommy's words had me stepping back as if he'd just pulled his gun on me. The threat Graves had made wasn't exactly scary. I found it hard to believe the man would go through with his actions, but then again his son did hold a knife to my throat
