It's been a long time, but I think I lost all my motivation for this story with the back-to-back updates there for a while. I have been trying to finish this off for ages and have literally found the ease to write last night at about 2:30am when I was editing a video.

I hope you like it, there is a scene in here that relates to oral sex, I've never written about that before so please tell me what you think of it or if it needs improvement. Please excuse me for any spelling mistakes.

I hope you all enjoy and that everyone is staying safe and is well.

Love you all, Comet96 xx

"We should do this more often," Ada said, swirling her spoon in her teacup as she debated what cake she wanted.

"What? Spend Tommy's money?" I asked because it was his money that paid for Ada's dress for tomorrow. I'd paid for everything else but that dress had been expensive.

"He's gonna love the dress you got," she said, rolling her eyes as she glanced at the bag that held the green dress for her party tomorrow. "Won't be able to keep his hand off you."

"That's the plan, Ada." I gave her a pointed look as I took a sandwich from the platter.

"I'm surprised there isn't a little one with the amount you two keep going at it," she teased, taking a sip of her tea. She frowned as I lost my smile. "What's wrong?"

"You're right, we should have a little one, but there isn't." I paused, unsure if I should tell her what's on my mind. She was the closest friend I had, even though she was four years older, she was still my best friend. "Ada I don't think I can have children."

"That's silly, you don't know that.

"I've been married a month now, Ada, I've had my course twice. Something's wrong," I said, knowing something was wrong. I'd known girls that had slept around once and ended in the family way. Most of my family had ended in the family way within a week of marriage.

"Everyone's different, Ellie. You have time and there's no rush for you to have children." She was trying to comfort me and it was nice of her, but she didn't see it the way I saw it. "It takes time."

"What if I never have children? Do you think Tommy will stay?"

"He loves you and to be honest," she paused, placing her teacup down on the saucer as she reached over and took my hand in hers. "I never really saw Tommy as a dad. He's too ... well, let's just say I never saw him as one to be that ... well, I can't really see him being a dad." I smiled at her words, knowing they all saw Tommy as this cold man, but he was sweet.

"I just really want a baby, Ada," I admitted, not able to hide the smile as I pictured a little boy that looked like Tommy.

"Or maybe you just enjoy making them," Ada suggested, wiggling her eyebrows as she took a jam sponge.

"Ada!"

Arthur made sure the party started in the betting den, his loud laughter booming over all the cheers for Ada. John was waving off some of the men as they placed kisses on Ada's cheeks and I knew that even though he wouldn't say it, he didn't like them being that close to his sister.

Tommy was leaning against his office, his eyes watching Ada's every move and I frowned as I watched him watching her.

"Oh my god," I mumbled, realising what he was doing. He was trying to figure out if one of his men was the man sneaking off with Ada. I was going to have to warn her before tonight when she ran off with Freddie, or I'd have to distract him like she asked.
