"Are you here yet? Wonwoo and I are waiting at the entrance."
It was Mae calling, she had invited Yuni and Daewon to their church service to help her cope with the traumatic event.
"We have arrived, which entrance are you talking about?" Yuni wandered around the church building, unable to find the couple. "You should be able to find us at the main entrance, I thought we picked an obvious spot?" "Apparently not haha- oh never mind I see you."
Yuni ran to the said entrance, dragging Daewon closely beside her.
Yuni gives Mae a big hug and shakes Wonwoo's hand.
"How has life been for you guys? You've been married for more than a year now, any big news?" Mae's face flushes in bright red, "well, of course, we do! We should be expecting our baby girl in 7 months." Wonwoo rushes to answer the question.
"Mae, how dare you not tell me! This is great news! I'm so glad it has all been going well for you."
Daewon pulled on Wonwoo's pants. He looks up at the tall lad and asked innocently,
"a baby?"
Wonwoo picks up the curious child and giggles, "yes, a baby."
"is it going to be small?"
"Yes, a very tiny baby,"
"Woah."
Mae laughs,
"shall we head in?"
Before the three adults were able to head into service, Mae suggested bringing Daewon to the children's Sunday school class so he could meet more kids and make some friends. Yuni thought it was a great idea so they headed towards the classroom.
They were greeted by the gentle smile of a young man who looks about Yuni's age.
"Hi there, I heard this is where the children's Sunday school class is taking place? This is my son Kwon Daewon."
Yuni spoked to the young man who seems to be in charge of the program.
"Yeah, for sure!"
His spoke with a light and fluffy voice.
Yuni wonders if he could sing-
"When should I be expected to come for pickups?"
"We should be finished at about 12."
Daewon headed inside and Yuni took a big breath of air, this is the first time Daewon has ever had any interactions with human beings other than her, Mae, and Wonwoo; she worries if Daewon would have troubles adjusting.
-- Fast forwards to 12:30 pm --
The Church service has ended and Yuni felt great peace from the pastor's preaching. She feels much more confident to face the world and is excited to join for another week.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it Yuni, but you should go pick up Daewon now." Mae reminded her.
Yuni hurried to the classroom, hearing faint guitar playing and light singing coming from the inside.
The door was opened and she sees the clear view of the Sunday school teacher singing to Daewon. It seems as though the other parents were a step ahead of her and had already picked up their offsprings.
His voice sounded soothing and sweet, Yuni felt as though she could drown deep in this feeling of delight.
She waited for the song to end, not wanting to disrupt and clapped when he did. He walked towards her with his guitar in hand and greeted, "you're here! Daewon has been great all class, he had some trouble with the other children but it's all solved now."
Daewon ran to his mother and buried his face in her shirt. "Daewon can be quite shy, I hope he wasn't too much of a hassle." the lad laughed, "don't worry about it, we bonded over the guitar; he seems quite intrigued music, and we're besties now. Daewon?"
The child looks up and smiles brightly, nodding, he replies "yep, we're besties! His name is Joshua and he said its English, it's so cool! "
Yuni smiles back at Daewon and responded in relief, "wow, my baby's first English word! Mommy is proud of you."
Yuni and Daewon waved and said goodbye to Joshua,
to which he also waved back and smiled.
