She starts to stir as the darkness leaves her vision.
She sits herself up and looks around.
It's a very strange place she's in.
There's a big table with tea pots and cups everywhere.
It looks like some kind of tea party.
"Oh, you're awake Alice".
She hears behind you.
She looks up to see a tall man smiling down at her.
He looks familiar but she can't place where she's seen him.
She see's a top hat on top of his head.
As he sits down at the other end of the table.
And it clicks he owns a small hat shop.
Everyone just called him Hatter.
"Alice what's wrong?" He asked.
Alice? Why did he call her that? She thought.
Her name isn't Alice.
"Don't you want your tea?"
He asked pointing at the cup in front of her.
She looks down at the little tea cup.
With Alice painted in blue.
She remembered now.
He had a daughter, that passed away.
It happened a few months ago.
His daughter was chasing a white rabbit.
And tripped in a rabbit hole, slamming her head hard into a tree trunk.
She felt sorry for the old Hatter.
He must miss his daughter greatly.
"If I drink this, can I go home?" She asked him.
"Home? What do you mean? You are home Alice" he tells her sternly.
She shakes her head "no, I'm not, Hatter Alice died remember?" She says gently.
"Right, I'm sorry" he says softly.
She lets out a breath of relief.
"So if I drink this, I can go home?" She asked again
He nodded slowly.
She picks up the cup and takes a drink.
She looks back at him and noticed somethings off.
Her version starts to blur.
"W-what?" She mumbles.
"We can both can go home now" she hears him say.
As darkness starts to take over her version.
"Home?" She asked quietly
"Yes, my dear Alice home to wonderland" is all she hears as the darkness takes over.
Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to drink the tea.
