A New Generation

Chapter 2

If I was being honest I didn't train at all for the final exam, but I guess I'll have to see what happens. I got into a back tank top with black shorts. Black seemed to be the main colour in my closet.  I got a small bag and grabbed an apple and my jacket covering my wings I didn't have clothes that would work around my wings even cutting holes in them DIDNT lasting so I always stole dads clothes

"You ready?" Patch-dad asked

"Yea" I put my shoes on and opened the door but stopped, thinking "dad what if I see uncle or his kids?"

He sighed "you know why you can't say anything I would love you to meet them but you know your uncle is the #2 hero and married to the #1 it's up to you to tell them who you are but remember where we stand in the deal dont tell where we are trusting you " I nodded

"Bye dad tell dad I say bye"

"Be careful" I rushed out of the door closing it behind me and snook around the corner and ran out. I put my hood on and ran to UA.  I was exited to see what this exam would all have. when I got there I was put into a huge room and was given a card with a number and my face. Ew. My thoughts were interrupted by a pro hero she was pink with black eyes kinda looking like a raccoon her costume was animal printed in purple and blue.

"Good morning everyone welcome to the exam" she seemed overly exited "welcome, today you will be fighting robots to gain points." There were four robots on the screen "you will go to the unit that your card says good luck!" I'm not sure what points I want to get during this though I'll just try them all. I got to one that had like buildings that looked really real. Where we in a city? how do they have the funds for this stuff? I got ready I took off my jacket and some people looked at me funny. I heard a horn and flew off ahead of everyone.

I saw a robot and instantly smiled "this will be fun" my wings went on fire and I cut right through the robot melting it with the blue and red flames my wings gave off. OH I LOVE THAT FEELING. The feeling you get when you go on a roller coasters and you want to do it again and again that's what it was like. I saw another one in the distance and did the same they were in to pieces I'm soooo into this. I saw one that was worth zero points,  the strongest one. I flew to it at full speed, a huge wall of ice appeared in front of me scaring and missing me by a second. I looked down and saw a small girl with green and white hair. Ice? No that can't be my cousin. I carried on cutting through robots constantly. I lost track of my points but I didn't care

"HELP" I heard a voice yell I stopped and looked for the source of the voice "SOMEONE IM STUCK" I flew to the ground and saw a girl under a bunch of rocks it was the girl that put ice in front of my face, there a 1 pointer heading her way. I ran to her and started to get the rocks off her, her leg was bleeding from a rock I pulled out of it

"Are you ok"

"Yea" I heard the sound of a gun getting ready to fire she made and ice wall and tried to walk But failed

"I got you" i picked her up and flew up to find safety. I placed her down "what's your name?" I asked tearing my shirt trying to distract her from the pain

"A-Aspen Todoroki" i froze this was my cousin. "What's your name?"

"Eden"

"Do you have a last name?"

"Nope" i wrapped her leg and she looked at me funny

"What's your quirk?"

"Fire wing"

"Fire? Just like my brother" she smiled at me I looked down she was so pure

"What's yours"

"Strong ice It's practically unbreakable only fire can"

"What's your brothers name?"

"Zade" I gave a faint smile

"I should go" before she could respond I flew off. I crashed some more Robots before hearing a loud beep.

I went back to the entrance and met with the other people some looked at me weird for my torn shirt. Once I went home I flew around for a while And sat on a gargoyle that was on top of a building. From here the sun set was nice, beautiful even. You would see all the colours the colours that made you feel warm, the colours that reflected off the clouds. Beautiful. once it got dark the lights from the city were visible making it look like a bunch of dancing fireflies. I heard someone flying and appear in front of me "hey dad"

"What are you doing out here?"

"Thinking"

"About What?" He sat next to me

"I saw my cousin today"

"Which one"

"Aspen" he nodded

"Did you tell her?"

"No I just flew off I didn't know what to say"

"Well don't worry about it to much" I nodded

"I think I'm going to be a hero" he looked at me then smiled

"You do it, then make your father and i rich"

"Who said I was going to share" I joked he nudged me with a chuckle

"Be careful we would hate to see you get hurt" I leaned into him and looked at the setting sun. After a while his watch beeped "shit I have to go on patrol I'll see you tomorrow" I nodded and he flew off into the darkening sky. After a little longer I flew on home

"Dad I'm home"

"Hey how did the exam go"

"It was fun, I met Aspen"

"Like, your cousin?"

"Yea, I didn't say anything if that's what you're going to ask. her quirk is strong"

"Oh what is is?"

"Strong ice, It's practically unbreakable only fire can I feel lucky, and probably you to finger gun" Uncle just flipped me off and I returned one of my own

"Damn"

"Eden I made dinner!"

"Thanks Auntie" we sat down and began to eat the stew she prepared for us "dad, is dad going to stay a hero?"

"He's still deciding it" I nodded

"Would you be mad if he stays a hero"

"No, it's his choice, if he wants to be a hero he can but keep in mind he agreed to the same thing as you did he's to say nothing about us"

"Ok"

"Wow you guys can be sappy" uncle said

"Shut up uncle hand-job, get your own kids then maybe you would see and not be so crusty and it would probably make you look less like an old lady"

"I will kill you kid"

"Try bitch"

"Shut up both of you no one kills anyone" dad said

"Awe there goes tonight's entertainment" toga said eating a carrot with a pouting face

"What a pity" I said
