I jerked awake, I could sense a massive amount of evil essence closing in around me. I was unable to tell what it was or how many there were. I opened my wings and flew up into the top of the trees. The evil essence was still moving in. I looked around but couldn't see anything. I flew back to Eric's house and the evil essence became stronger. It wasn't closing in on me, it was closing in on the house. I dove down and entered into an upstairs window. I quickly found Eric's room and entered. He was awake and sitting at his window, he had a hunting rifle with a sniper scope on it and a lit cigarette in his mouth. As I walked in he lifted a finger up to tell me to stop moving. His hand gripped the stock of his rifle and his finger moved over the trigger. Everything grew silent, then a loud crack shook the room as he pulled the trigger. I could hear a group of people yelling outside and their feet scrambling trying to look for cover. Eric slid the bolt back on his rifle, the shell flew out and hit the ground with a ding. He took another shot, then another after that. He was dropping Power Hunters like flies.
Gun fire rattled around the house, I dove over and wrapped my wings around Eric and I to protect us from the rain of bullets. There wasn't any place around us that was untouched by bullets. The walls began to crumble as the bullets tore through the frame of the house. Several bullets grazed my wings as I tried to protect us. Suddenly the gun fire stopped. Were they out of ammo? How long did we have before they began to fire again? Then footsteps creeped through the house. They moved upstairs and busted in the door. I jumped to my feet and attacked the two Power Hunters that came into the room. I tore through them with ease. With quick and silent movement I made my way downstairs. There were no other Power Hunters in the house, but I could sense them coming closer to the house. I used my new ability and turned invisible.
I made my way outside. It was still pitch black with the only light coming from the stars above us. I couldn't see anyone ahead of me but I could sense them. It was easy, they were reeking of evil essence. I could sense maybe ten or fifteen of them. I flew up above them, I wanted to test something out. As I came above the group of Power Hunters I built up all the rage inside of me. Then I dove to the ground. A large explosion blew out of me as I connected with the ground. Fire erupted from the trees and spread quickly all around the house. The screams of anguish from the Power Hunters echoed around me. More than half of them were gone. The fire grew larger by the second as more trees burst into flames. I bolted around the flames to get to the other Power Hunters. I slashed through them one by one as I came across them. Their numbers were dwindling down. I came across two that were to scared to move. One of them pointed there gun at me, but before he could fire I had already slashed through him. The other one opened fire on me. Bullets tore through me, but they didn't effect me. I just stood there and watched as his face grew more and more terrified. He emptied his weapon into my chest, when his gun clicked to show it was empty his face turned pale white. I picked him up by his vest and threw him against a tree. The crack of his spine was enough to show me he was dead.
I heard a radio go off near me. I moved in on where it was coming from. There was one Power Hunter left. As I got closer I could here him shouting into the radio.
"Just fire the damn thing already! We are getting destroyed here!" He yelled.
I moved in on him and slashed through him. His radio was still going off. I picked it up and listened in.
"Hunter 5-7 we hear you. Launching predator missile now."
There was a massive streak of light shooting down from the sky. It moved down and struck the house. A massive explosion immitted from the impact zone. I was blown back into the flames behind me. I jumped up to see the house was destroyed.
"Eric!" I yelled.
I ran to the rubble and started digging through it. I could still feel his heart beating. I threw off bits of wood and bricks. He was around here somewhere I could feel it. I moved more bits of rubble away until I saw his arm sticking out. I moved more rubble away and found the rest of him. He was pinned underneath a large piece of the wall and was knocked out cold. I grabbed the wall and lifted it up off of him. I couldn't believe what had happened. His lower half was completely blown off of him. His heart beat stopped before I could try and help him. He was dead. Another person I cared about was dead.
I looked up in the sky and noticed there was something moving above me. I let out my wings and bolted up into the sky. It was moving fast. I got up behind it and tailed it for a few minutes to figure out what it was. As I got closer to it I realized it was a drone. That's what shot the missile at the house and killed Eric. I caught up to it and ripped off it wing. It spiraled down and crashed into the woods. I followed it down to the ground. It was still intact and looked operational. I examined it and noticed a camera on the front end of it. I knelt down in front of it and wiped the dust off of the lens.
"Coleton, if you are watching this I just want to let you know that you messed with me for the last time. You've killed to many people I cared about. I swear I'm going to hunt you down and kill you. I'm going to make you suffer like everyone else. That I promise you."
I drew a large amount of power into me and created a fire ball in my hands. I threw it down onto the drone and watched as it melted away from the heat. I'm going to make him pay for all the things he done. He's not getting away from me this time.
