{One Week Later}

^McKenna's PoV^

I sit in the alcove, my eyes were tired, but I couldn't sleep. It was 2am and I think I'd managed to have an hours sleep but I had too many things going around my head.

My phone buzzes again and I pick it up, removing my hands from the blanket I was cocooned in.

It was a message from Frankie.

'Hey Kenna, I can't wait to see you later. I've missed you so much. I love you, have a safe trip. Xx'

I smiled and I moved from my alcove and plugged my phone into charge and then I put my duvet back on the bed and I tiptoed across the landing and I knocked on Molly's door.

"Come in." I pushed the door open and I saw Molly in her bed she looked tired and I knew I'd probably woken her up. She was propped up on her elbow.

"Sorry..I can't sleep." I speak quietly feeling bad for waking her up.

She pulled back the covers and I walked over and climbed into her bed. She stroked my hair and I closed my eyes.

"Night sweetie." Molly mumbled and I curled up under the covers.

"Night Moll." I yawned and finally felt myself falling to sleep.

When I woke up the sunlight was barely streaming through the window. I roll over and when I see Molly isn't there I frown. I glance at her clock and it reads 5:04am.

I had to be at Brize Norton for 7:30, so we'd need to leave here at around 6 to make it in time.

I pulled myself out of bed and the overwhelming smell of coffee was filtering up the stairs, Rosabaya coffee to be exact.

I had to drag myself down the stairs and when I entered the kitchen I saw Molly, in her pyjamas, pouring two mugs of steaming coffee.

"Morning chick, I was just about to come and get you up. How are you feeling?" She slides me my mug and I sink into one of the stools and take a sip.

"I'm okay, I'm happy because I'll be getting back to Charlie and Frankie, but being back there I'm worried how I'll cope." I run a hand through my hair and my leg bounces up and down. I was struggling to ground myself.

The more I thought about it, the more worked up about it I became.

"You'll be fine, I promise you. Don't worry, and if you need a friendly face I'm only on the other end of the screen Kenna. Right, go get in the shower and I'll pack your stuff in the car." Molly gave me a look and I knew that she'd get all serious if I didn't get going in a minute so I drank the last of my coffee and headed upstairs.

Half an hour later I'm showered, dressed and I'm in the process of doing my hair. It felt good to be in my uniform again and I realised just how much I had missed it.

"Knock knock. Do you need some help?" I turned to Molly who was stood in my doorway and I let go of my hair, not wanting to get frustrated. I couldn't make my hair do what I wanted.

"Yes please." I take a second and then I sit on the bed and Molly sits behind me and I watch her in the mirror. As her hands weave carefully through my hair, and within ten minutes my wet locks were secured tightly into a Dutch braid, a few Bobby pins holding my stray hairs in place.

"Thanks Molls. I guess we should get going?" I glance at my watch and I sigh, we had ten minutes before we actually needed to be on the road but I still needed to lace up my boots.
