Lunime's Pov
There was a knock on the door and my ears perked up. I quickly looked out the window and noticed a red haired male standing outside. I smiled and I went up to answer the door. I was then greeted with a smile.
"Hey Lunime, mind if I come in?" Elijah said, holding up a bag.
I nodded. "Of course. If you don't mind me asking, what's in the bag?" I asked as I moved aside for Elijah to come in.
"Oh, it's just a snack I decided to bring over, hope you like cookies." He said playfully.
I looked at him confused. "Who doesn't like cookies!? They're the best, besides macaroons."
"Macaroons you say? I didn't know you liked those." He said as we made our way to the kitchen.
I smiled. "Yeah! Kody made them one time and they tasted amazing! It's like I was eating a fluffy cloud...but we don't talk very much anymore." I said sadly.
Elijah looked up at me for a moment before placing the bag of sweets down on the kitchen counter. "I didn't think that would happen to you guys, considering you're always together. What happened?"
I sighed. "W-well it's a long story...lately Kody has been acting weird and gets upset whenever I'm around you. I don't understand why he won't give you another chance, you're a nice guy!" I said leaning on the table.
Elijah laughed. "Yeah right, I'm glad you think I'm a nice guy but I honestly don't think I deserve another chance from Kody..." He paused. "You said he was acting weird right? Did anything else happen between you two?"
A memory flashed inside my head and I could feel my face begin to heat up. "W-well yeah s-something did happen b-but I rather not talk about it..." I stuttered, playing with my hands.
The red-head raised an eyebrow as he took a seat next to me. "What's got you all red in the face? It's not like he kissed you or anything did he?" Elijah said jokingly. But when I didn't respond he's eyes widened. "You're joking right!? He actually did that! Oh...wow."
Embarrassed I shoved my face in my hands and took a moment to calm down. "I-It's not like I wanted him to...I already like someone else and- and it was random! I don't understand why he would do that!"
Just as I finished my sentence, Kody came down the stairs and noticed the two of us sitting. Our eyes met for a brief moment before he began to study me and Elijah. We were fairly close to each other, not to mention the red that dusted my cheeks. That's when I noticed the look in his eyes. Hurt, guilt, and anger. Whatever it was he was thinking, he must've gotten the wrong idea. Quickly I moved away from Elijah and made my way towards him.
"H-hey Kody! Me and Elijah we're just talking over some cookies, w-would you like to join us?" I said nervously.
He looked at me confused but shook his head. "No, I'm good. I was just going to go out for a walk."
"Huh? But it looks like it's going to rain soon." I said looking out the window that so happened to be there.
He shrugs. "I'll be back before it does."
I frowned but didn't pester him any further. I watched as he puts on a coat and shoes before he heads out the door and leaves. I let out a sigh and made my way back to Elijah who had a smile on his face as he took a bite of a cookie. I felt a little happy seeing him enjoy himself but also feel uneasy about Kody.
"That sounds like it went well, at least you talked to each other." Elijah said, breaking the silence.
"I guess so...I'm just worried about him now. Hopefully he won't stay out to long." I stated as I helped myself to one of the delicious sweets in front of me.
