The place they chose was a simple burger joint. A very 70's style joint. It reminded Janus of something he would see in Riverdale. Though of course he never watched the show, just saw glimpses from when Virgil would watch it.
The person at the counter had a name tag that said 'Keelan' in blocky letters. They wore a black polo with a white apron and small paper hat. They also had a deep blue chew necklace and a tangle bracelet that had blue and grey beads. They had came by a while ago to get Janus' order, a banana milkshake and fries. Now, Janus was waiting on Emile.
Emile hadn't changed much from when Janus saw him earlier, the brown sweater vest was off, as was the pink tie, and his blond curls were messy and pinned back with a black bobby pin. His white button up had the first few buttons undone.
It was a messy cute, Janus couldn't help but stare for a moment, before shaking his head.
Not a date. An explnation. From patient to therapist.
He reminded himself this several times.
Keelan came by, they must be the only one working. "O-Oh! Dr. P." They grinned, recognizing Emile. "The usual?" Emile nodded.
"Its nice to see you, Keel, your boss is letting you wear your stim jewlery then?" Keelan nodded. "I'm glad," Keelan returned shortly with a strawberry milkshake and tator tots.
"Now, Janus-"
"I'm so sorry," Janus looked down, needing to say this all quickly before he started lying. "You're a good guy, I shouldn't have used you like that- I shouldn't have done that to Logan,"
"You shouldn't have," Emile agreed. "But now, as your therapist, I understand a bit more...I want to start you on medication, Jay, to see if it helps. Then maybe you're be able to start having normal friendships and relationships again,"
"You think we could ever be friends?" Janus asked, being answered with a half smile. "Thats up to you. If you can change."
