They met at the vintage resturant, this time a different employe was working. A girl with curly dark brown hair and dark brown skin with pale patches. She was in the same uniform, black jeans, white collared shirt, paper hat. Her eyes were a deep yellow with verticle pupils, most likely contacts. Her name tag had 'Xyla' in pretty, loopy cursive.

"Hello, sir, what can I get you?" She greeted polietly, watching ad Janus fidgeted for a moment.

"Chocolate shake and fries,"

"Mhm, anything else?"

"Actually...Have you seen a short man? Blond curly hair, brown eyes, probably dressed like a grandpa even though hes in his twenties?"

"Ah, hes in the back," Janus thanked her as he paid and took his items, going to look for him in the back of the resturant.

Sure enough, Emile was pressed into a booth in the corner, looking out the window. He was in a simple brown sweater, it was oversized, and black skinny jeans with little black boots. He had pink makeup and simple lipgloss.
He was so pretty.

Janus sat, setting his milkshake besides Emiles soda. "Hungry?" He offered to share the frenchfries, Emile jumped, before shaking his head, pushing his glasses up.

"Janus...I'm sorry if I came
off rude-"

"Its fine," It was a lie. Janus could almost see it blow up like a ballon before sitting above their head.

"Are you sure?"

Janus didn't respond.

"I'm so sorry," Emile whispered softly, the lie filled ballon popping.

"Dont apologize, you didnt want too-"

"Thats not it! I started to like you! I saw the change and I saw the good and I got scared!" Enile paused. "I got scared that I would fall in love,"

"Did you?" Janus asked, his voice soft and scared.

His only response was silence.
