"Okay, but don't you think it's a little weird looking?" Y/n asked as she twisted herself around in the mirror. She was currently trying on this jumpsuit that she found in the mall as her best friend, Tyler, walked around with her.

Although y/n was 17 she still hadn't gotten her license. Her parents insisted she waited until 18, which she was fine with. Her best friend, Tyler, was happy to drive her around no matter where she wanted to go.

"No." Tyler answered shortly, scrolling through his phone.

Y/n huffed, "you didn't even look." She whined, and Tyler sighed looking up from his phone to glance over her beautiful body.

The thing with accompanying y/n to the mall was that she made him judge her looks with everything she tried on. Although she didn't look weird or ugly in any way he didn't want to make it seem like he was gawking at her, which he could easily do because she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. He wanted to act like he didn't give a shit of what she bought or what she didn't buy. He also didn't want to tell her how beautiful she looked because then she'd know he liked her. A lot.

"Tyler?" Y/n waved her hand in his face and he shook his head, looking down and scratching the back of his head nervously. "Does it look nice?"

Tyler looked up, awkwardly looking around the room. He nodded swiftly, his eyebrows lifting as he stared in her eyes with honesty.

Y/n smiled softly, quickly walking back behind the curtain to change into her next outfit which was a romper.

After trying on a few outfits, y/n was finally ready to go look for new items. She wanted to get at least 5 outfits, because she was planning on throwing most of her outfits at home away. They were getting small, and they were all light colors which show stains easier.

While Tyler waited on his seat beside the dressing rooms, y/n rushed over to one of the aisles she remembered seeing a cute romper.

As she was prancing over to the romper she felt her forehead bump into someone's chest, and she quickly retaliated, her face heating up in surprise and embarrassment.

"I am so..." the man stopped as his mouth gaped slightly once he looked at the girl in front of him. "Sorry."

Y/n shook her head, her nose crinkling up to tell she was nervous. "You're sorry? I'm the one that should be sorry."

The man nodded his head, a small smile forming. "Oh, you're totally right. I forgive you." He teased.

Y/n giggled nervously, her eyebrows lifting as she awkwardly walked past him. "Sorry." She mumbled again as she began to walk slower this time.

The man followed close behind. "What's you're name?"

Y/n looked up at him, surprised, "Oh, um, y/n."

He nodded, "My name is Cole. Nice to meet you." Cole stuck his hand out, shaking y/n's gently.

Y/n nodded her head, although she honestly just wanted to get out of the situation. "Oh, um. You too. I..." she giggled lightly from anxiety. "I'm going to try this on. So um..." she grabbed the romper. "Yeah. I'll uh- yeah."

She quickly started walking towards the dressing rooms, anxious to get away from the man. He seemed sweet, and she knew he meant no harm, but she wasn't really up for dating or getting flattered right now. She was there for the outfits.

Y/n quickly fit the romper on, walking out for Tyler's opinion only to be faced with Cole looking at her with a smile and Tyler totally oblivious to the matter at hand.

"That looks very beautiful on you, y/n. That was a good choice." Cole complimented, making y/n look down and shrug.

Tyler gave the man a questionable glance now slightly confused. But before he could process any further he stood up, roughly patting his hand on Cole's back. "I agree. My girlfriend is beautiful isn't she?"

Cole's face turned red as he clicked two and two together and he shook his head. "Oh, I'm so sorry, man. I had no idea."

Tyler gave him a mocking smile, squeezing his shoulder lightly. "Yeah, what are you doin' in a girl's store? With your girlfriend?" He tilted his head, furrowing his eyebrows as if he actually cared. He knew what this man was doing. He was most likely trying to pick up girls.

Cole chuckled awkwardly as he twisted around. "Yeah... I'm going to go find her now."

"Yeah, you go do that." Tyler called. And as the man walked away Tyler let out a small breath as he felt his insides turn into a knot. He heard a small squeal from a high pitch voice and then a bone crushing hug. He chuckled lightly, the butterflies in his stomach increasing.

"Thank you. Oh my god, he gave me the heebie-jeebies ." Y/n hugged him tighter, and Tyler let out a small grunt but then chuckled afterwards.

"Anything for you." Tyler smiled, "We should go across the hall and get frozen yogurt now."

Y/n hummed in delight, giggling after.  "Agreed."
