My name is Sofia. I'm 15 years old and I love to draw. Not like just a little sketch. Like a huge drawing with color and takes weeks to finish. People know me as the mayors daughter but, that is not how I know me by. I know myself as the insecure girl who doesn't like to show people the real her and I'm not ashamed.
I live with my four older bothers and my mother. My father is too busy for me because of his work. He has to travel to different states, talking business. I've always been the typical person to be picked on by the other kids at my school. People say things like," Your such a dork" or like," dweeb" but that never bothers me. I wonder what they'll say this year.
Today is the first day of my soft-more year of high-school. I'm probably the only one in the whole entire school who actually likes school. It's not for the learning, it's because Mrs. Lesser, the art teacher, lets me eat lunch in her classroom so I can use her paints. I can't wait to see which art supplies she bought this year.
I always get to school early so I can sketch in my notepad before my first class starts. I got to the seat that was marked with my name on it in thick sharpie and sat down in it. I looked into my desk and found a little scrap of paper addressed to me. I pulled it carelessly out of my desk and read the tiny, sloppy print.
" Dear Sofia,
Hi. I've never written a note like this before but, I like you. I've like you since the first grade. I hoped your not shocked. I think your pretty and nice and caring. Your smile brightens up my day. When you walk into the room, you plaster a smile on my face. I hope this this is getting a little too personal but if I could rate you from 1 to 10, it would be an 11.
Love, Your Secret Admirer"
I clutched the little paper like it was a newborn baby. No one has ever said anything like that to me ever in my life! I beamed with pride. I will find whoever this person is and that's a promise!!!
