I repeatedly rolled the little paper over in my small palm as sweat drizzled off my face on that scorching day. I was determined to find this secret admirer when I hear a voice.
" Sofia!" The voice shouted. I turned too see a figure running towards me. I totally forgot!
" Vicky! I haven't seen you in like forever." I screeched letting her wrap her arms around me. I felt the tension rise up. I knew something was wrong. She is usually depressed all the time and wears super dark clothes. I let go of her and asked her what was up with her.
" Oh. I just thought you would like this look. Well???" She beamed with pride, admiring her flowery dress.
" It's a thought." I said to her, thinking about the note and wanting to tell her but not right now.
" Thanks. Oh, I forgot to tell you. I heard about the new art supplies Mrs. Lesser got. You wanna go check it out?" She looked at me curiously.
" Not right now. I need to tell you something." I started, still hesitating, but now it's too late. She looked at me excitedly.
" Oh, spill the beans!" She excitedly took me over to a corner in the cafeteria. " Ok. Spill it sister!" She sat down criss-cross like a first grader would have. I sighed a finally began to talk.
" Ok. So today in my first class, I found a note in my desk addressing to me. So I took it out and it said something about someone who likes me. It was really sweet and no one had ever said anything like that to me before. I have to find whoever wrote that note. I'm anxious Vicky! I'm really confused. Who would ever like me? The girl who likes to spend all her time drawing is a classroom or in a corner has a Secret Amirer. Please help me." I told her.
She stood up and put her arm around my shoulder and told me it was going to be okay. The bell rings. We head our separate way and I head to history. I slowly walk into history and slide into my seat and get out my notebook. I watch as people start to file in and take their seats. A tall boy sits next to me and I slump down in my seat. It was Billy Fisher, the jerk of the school. He had messy black hair and had soft blue eyes. He was very buff. He was hot on the outside and cruel on the inside. He stared at me while I fiddled with my charm bracelet. I look up at him.
" What are you staring at?" I ask impolitely.
" Just your ugly ass face!" His goons snicker behind him as my face turned crimson red. Tears stringed the back of my eyes while I tried to fight them back. Billy always finds one person to pick on for the year. I guess it's my turn.
Mr. YoHan walked in and greeted the class and made a long speech about what we were going to be doing this year in his class and he told us to take notes. I pulled out my giant sketch pad and started to sketch to make it look like I was taking notes. I stared on the nose. I was drawing a caricature of Mr. YoHan. A started out making a large, curvy nose...
Half an hour later
I finally finished my drawing when Mr. YoHan came to my table and peered over my shoulder. He angrily ripped the sheet of paper out of my notebook and shoved it into a drawer.
" Mrs. Peerson. Please see me after class." He grunted. I slumped down in my chair, pretending I would disappear. Everyone chuckled and whispered to their friends. Finally, the bell rang and everyone sighed and ran out relived. I shuffled to his desk and he told me to sit down. He pulled the drawing out and shoved it in my face.
" Do you think this funny Mrs. Pearson? Because I feel that you were trying to insult me. It's good drawing but, it's offensive." He started.
" I'm sorry if I made you feel bad but, all caricatures are supposed to look funny. I'm sorry." I said, kind of lying.
" You better be sorry after you serve your detention after school tomorrow." He yelled.
" Ok." I slumped my shoulders and I walked out. I'm so glad that was my last class. I'll finally get this detention over with so I can finish my painting that I was working on.
After detention
I start walking home and pull out my phone and call my mom. No answer. I call her again. No answer. That's funny. She always answers her phone. Oh well. She must be out doing arrends. I'll just talk to her when I get home. I check my texts and I got 2 new messages from Unknown. Who got my number. I gasped. The first one said, ' I know who you really are' and the other one said, ' I know your secret'. I was crossing the street and I felt a really sharp pain in my back and I felt my legs snap. I now realized what happened. I was hit by a bus.
