I glance at the table where my phone is and I check my texts. I remember the last texts before the accident and a lightbulb flash on in my head. Whoever must have sent me those texts also stole my note pad! That bitch! Whoever is doing this is gonna get it and gonna get it good!
I stuck my phone into my nightgown pocket. I shuffled to my bed and sat down when I heard the door click open and in came my mother. Anger surged up into me and I ran up to her and threw my arms around her. Oh, how I cried. Tears streamed down my face like a rainy day in April.
" How come you never told me about dad until now? I would've supported you and I could've helped you. You didn't answer my phone I got really scared. Answer my phone next time please. Even if it is an emergency." I sobbed. I ran to my bed and buried my face into my pillow. My mother strolled over to me and put her hand on my cheek.
" I won't do it again. I promise. Please, you have to understand that I can't always be there for you at all times. But, most of the time, I've got your back." She murmured.
