4pm.

Students packed their bags, stood from their chairs as the school slowly got empty with people filling out of it. It was dead silent now, no busy chattering in the halls, cafeteria, compounds, anywhere. It seems that everyone had already went back.

Everyone except two dark haired students and a strict teacher, in a empty classroom all by themselves. Eyelids threatening to close, Xiu Ying and Chenle both had to pinch each other awake due to the inevitable fate they both had to face together.

Well it was their fault, as students the last thing you expect them to do is run around the city in black clothes at night while setting off alarms and knocking people unconscious here and there. There was almost no one who suspected the crime duo to be minors as well, thus further explaining why it's abnormal for them to do stuff other than studying and hanging out with friends.

Oh well, they don't give a fuck about grades anyway. But sadly others do.

"And by dividing the amount of P with 5, that's how you find X", Mrs. Kim took her hand off the whiteboard to face the two hardly awake students. "Any questions?"

Chenle raised his hand. "Can we go back home now?"

"Absolutely not, we still have 5 subtopics to cover by today. So about quadratics...", the boy hit his head on the desk in hopes to block out the teacher's annoyingly high pitched voice, leg bouncing up and down as a habit.

"Don't worry, I don't want this either", Xiu Ying whispered in Chinese, a advantage they both have to snitch behind the teacher's back without her knowing.

"How much do we need in order to get out of here again?", He lazily asked.

"At least a minimum B+"

"Great", He said sarcastically.

"You ended up here thanks to your great grades, you know? How did you get those marks anyway?", She asked, mocking the way the boy replied with 'great'.

"I just... never really cared about my grades", He paused midsentence, trying to come up with an excuse. It was half assed, but hopefully plausible enough. "What about you?", He said, attempting to stir the topic towards her.

"I'm busy with other stuff to even glance at studies"

"Like what?"

"Just...stuff", She shrugged, obviously hoping for him to catch on that she doesn't want to talk about the fact she is too busy stealing.

And together they sat, through the dreadful three hours of hearing words like algebra, linear, tangents and somehow even mitochondria got into the mix. Remember kids,

Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.

"Hey, wanna get out of here?", Chenle whispered.

Xiu Ying who was actually trying to finish the linear equations, looked up and gulped at the close proximity. Backing away a bit, she stuttered out. "W-what?"

"The teacher's not here, we can make a run for it", He gave a knowing smile.

"Are you fucking serious?", She deadpanned. "We're gonna end up staying until night tomorrow if we try to run away"

Shrugging, "So what?"

"We can stay late tomorrow, but specifically for today I don't want to stay here", He exclaimed in a high pitched voice.

"It's only the fifth of extra classes, Lele. Are you really trying to get us in trouble?", She raised an eyebrow.

"Why not? It'll be fun"

"Sure, go yourself"

"Nooooooooo", He shook Xiu Ying's left arm making it hard for her to continue with his calculations. "Just this one time, please??"

"You're so annoying"

"I know", He smiled until cresents formed from his eyes, dimples poking out with his fluffy black hair.

"So what's it gonna be?"

Throwing her head back, Xiu Ying heaved out a sigh.

"Fine"

You know, this scene does seem familiar. Any sense of deja vu maybe?
