I walk down the flight of stairs to my mother that is waiting for me anxiously at bottom. She looked like she had just won the lottery and her favorite celebrity handed her the check. It is really funny to be honest.

"Mijo, you'll never believe what just happened! We got the house! Are you excited?" She exclaimed quickly.

"Um, yeah, how long 'till we move in though?" I say.

"Oh, we have one month until we can start moving in. Some of the house is still under construction." She replies.

We all thank the real estate agents and head to the car. I was expecting this to take a lot longer, I am happy that it did not. My mother and father start talking on the way back to the hotel, but I zoned them out because I can't stop thinking about what Navi had to tell me.

We get back and I see Navi in the lounge on her phone listening to something through her headphones.

"Ryan, we will be in the room." My father informed me.

"Okay, gracias papi." I said to my father.

I walk over to Navi thinking about what to say to her and how to bring up what she wanted to tell me. Maybe, Hey, I was wondering, what was it that you said you needed to tell me? No, it would be rude not to ask how her day is so far. Let's try that again. Hi, how are you? Um, before I left you said that you needed to tell me something. That could wo-

"Hey Ryan!" Navi greeted.

"Oh, uh, hi Navi. How are you?" I said awkwardly. Smooth. Who the heck starts with Oh, Uh, hi. Come on bro you can do better than that. Make a friend for once.

"I'm good, what about you? You seemed a little caught off guard there for a second." She said.

Great she noticed. "I'm good, thanks. I just wanted to know what it was that you need to tell me before I left. Also, how did you do that thing, where you talked to me through my thoughts?" I say kinda creeped out.

"Um, actually that's what I wanted to talk to you about, but not here. Follow me." She said quietly.

She leads me down a few hallways to where we first talked after she kind of kidnapped me. She looks at our surroundings, which is only a hallway to our left and right, then enters the small space next to me behind the vending machine. She takes a deep breath like she is about to do a twelve foot dive in the ocean then looks at me.

"Ryan, first of all there are alot of things that you can do, and second, I can read your mind. Which also means you can read mine, because you are just like me. I know this because I can sense our kind." She says casually as if this is somewhat normal to her.

"Okay, now what am I thinking." I say.

"That you are gay. Also I'm not surprised. I knew as soon as you walked into the hotel." She said.

"What? Um, I mean...cool. Just don't tell my parents please. I don't think that they'll accept me." I say sadly.

"Hey, Hey, it's okay. Your secret is safe with me, I promise." She says with a reassuring smile.
