It has been a few days since the fight at Beacon Academy and Vale has been doing its best to help the school recover as well as securing the Forever Fall Forest from any more rise of Grimm activity.
Team RWBY was seen leaving the school grounds. They opted to recover fully in peace back at the Xiao Long Residence in Patch. No one knows if they took Weiss Schnee with them.
Days of rest did them well. Everyone was back in fighting shape after two days but the same cannot be said for the young Schnee. She was still resting, weak, and in bad shape.
Every day, her teammates were nervous if she would even wake up. After all, taking up most of the fight with the Fall Maiden as well as making an unbreakable prison was too much, even for a person who has Creation magic.
It's the first and constant rule of Magic--It has a cost. Anyone who uses it has to pay a price.
After a few more days of Weiss' life slipping away, she breathed her last one afternoon. Unable to wake from a deep slumber. Her life was the cost to keep the peace.
The bright summer days seemed like a cruel irony to the tragedy that had fallen in the home. Around her resting bed, Ruby, Yang, Blake, Qrow, and Taiyang mourned. The young huntress lost her life trying to protect her friends.
At least that's what they want you to believe had happened.
Indeed, Weiss has obtained injuries more than anyone else in her team but that was because she was human. Unlike her three teammates who could recover almost instantly, she took three days to wake up.
Even then, she wasn't fully aware of what was happening. She was constantly in and out of consciousness and even had a fever. Ruby did her best to help her in any way possible. Thankfully, it worked because they weren't anticipating for her to wake up within the week. By the fifth day, she was sitting up and eating.
Worried sick, Ruby has been hunting for her food. She settled with the blood animals to sustain herself and brought them back for food. It was enough for them to have food for weeks to come. When Weiss came to, she did her best to heal everything she can.
Sitting in bed, late afternoon in the family home of Ruby, Blake, and Yang, Weiss has been filled out as to what happened while she was out.
"We...faked your death." was the first thing Ruby told her when she was capable of fully processing the situation. "We reported that you died today while in bed."
Ruby was prepared for Weiss to be outraged, mad, and furious for what they've done. The girl has a family in Atlas, a sibling, and a legacy waiting for her. She knew how grave of a sin it was to fake her death knowing she had something else waiting for her. Not just this life of fae blooded friends and death threats.
"I suppose that's better." When Weiss revealed that she wasn't exactly against the idea of it all, the rest of her team was relieved to hear that she was on board with it.
"Why?" Qrow asked her. He was listening by the doorframe and entered the room to sit at an empty chair. "How can you accept that? If I were you, I'd be pissed."
Weiss looked at him. "No, if you were me, you'd take it." She pressed. "For a long time, I'm just a tool for my Father to manipulate. I thought that being a huntress would let me free of that. That I would have autonomy as the heiress of the Schnee Dust Company. I realized that I don't want that anymore."
Ruby looked up at her, taking her lover's hand. "I'm just glad you're getting better."
"You know, since you reported my death to our headmaster, why not hold a memorial?" Weiss even suggested. She pulled off the crown that sat on the base of her ponytail and looked at it. "With enough evidence, everyone who cares enough will accept I'm dead."
