'And that was how I photo bombed all their precious family photos.'

Stan had just finished his latest blog. His fiftieth blog, to be exact. The dog was proud of himself. "Say, it is late night," he whispered. "Robert! Bring out my jams!" The orange monkey obediently did as he was asked. He leaned against the desk leg, jars piled next to him. "No Robert! Not those jams!" Stan groaned. "You're losing your touch!"

Stan sighed. Robert was getting more distracted lately. But why? Nothing was new, Bennett still had his normal job, Ellen was as crazy as ever, Avery and Tyler were still complete opposites, only Chloe had something new.

She had gotten a pink and white tutu for her eighth birthday, but Stan couldn't see how that affected Robert.

One day, when the whole family was out of the house, Stan was bored. He decided to play 'Doctor-Patient' with Robert.

Of course, Robert was the sick patient. Stan performed fake surgery on the monkey and found something interesting. Robert had a ripped seam in his arm, which led to him losing a decent amount of stuffing.

Stan, so immersed in his doctor role, foretold that Robert had Stage Four Lung Cancer from inhaling Ellen's burning food while she cooked every night.

He treated Robert to a laser surgery, using a light bulb as the laser instrument.

Stan continued to treat his 'sick patient' everyday, until it became a habit. Soon enough, he was obsessed. Robert was his best friend, and knowing that there was no known cure for cancer, Stan had lost all hope. In his dog mind, all this had become real, and he was so focused on trying to find a cure, he stopped talking.

The children became worried, and tried to gain his attention by taking away all the toys around him. One day, Tyler made the mistake of taking away Robert, which made Stan mad.

As a canine reflex action, Stan bit him, nearly chewing his arm off. Tyler yelped in pain.

The kids became afraid of Stan, as he would growl and snap at them whenever they were near Robert. They all soon grew apart.

But the charade continued in Stan's mind. One day, he actually took it to a point that he decided it was time for Robert's cancer to take over. He imagined the monkey dying, and buried him, in the backyard, not without saying a few words on his behalf.

After that, Stan was depressed. He became more vicious, yet lonely, and would no longer eat nor sleep. One night, Bennett came downstairs for a glass of water, and Stan bit his leg because he scared him. At that moment. Bennett had already made his decision. Stan was going to the pound.

No one in the family disagreed with his decision, especially not Ellen.

To this day, Stan is labelled the fiercest dog in the pound in all of Pasadena. He doesn't speak anymore, as with all his silence, and 24/7 surveillance, Stan could not find the freedom to speak, so his vocal chords remained unused.
