"Okay, here's how you play," Alex started, making sure all eyes were on her before she continued. "We all put either one or two fingers on the little plastic piece and move it in a small circle once per player-- so four times in our case. Then you ask if someone's here. If something answers, then you ask any question you want! After we're done or if something it says scares us, we just say goodbye and make sure the piece slides to the word on the bottom of the board. That goes for even if nothing answers. too. ALWAYS say goodbye, and never, EVER, play by yourself. That's when the bad stuff happens."

A loud snort disrupted the silence which fell upon the three other teens in the room, causing the young woman's cheek to puff out as they all turned toward Jaxon who was in the middle of rolling his dark blue eyes. "What? From how your mom made it seem, all of it's bad," he said as he turned his attention to Noelle, pushing his dirty blonde hair away from his pale forehead.

The girl in question thought for a second before nodding her head, looking over at Alex. "He does have a point, I don't think this is such a good idea."

"Don't worry, I've done this before. Nothing even happened," Alex replied with a shrug. "C'mon, please?"

Blair shook her head at her girlfriend's plea, "Alex if they don't want to don't make them."

"No it's fine," Noelle sighed. "But at the slightest sign of anything negative and I'm dipping out. Alright?"

The pastel-clad girl's head bobbed in agreement, a bright smile taking over her features. "Absolutely! All we'll have to do is say goodbye and we're out!"

Jaxon watched in disbelief as his younger sister nodded her head and the girls all put two fingers onto the small plastic piece in the middle of the board before he finally sighed and took a seat beside her, placing two of his own fingers as well. He smiled at her confused sideways glance and nudged her with his shoulder, "well if you're going to do something this stupid I can't let you do it alone."

The smile spread around the table before Alex began, "Alright. Let's start." The group of teens drug the plastic around the middle of the board in four small circles before letting it rest again in its starting place. Alexianna began again. "Is anyone here with us?"

All was silent for a moment, no one moving a muscle, until their hands started to move. The clear circle on the planchette rested on top of the word, "yes." The children sat frozen for a moment before Jaxon broke the silence. "Okay, who moved it?" All head shook no, the motion rigid with shock. "I have a bad feeling about this. Maybe we should stop."

Before his sentence was even finished, Alexianna continued with another question. "What's your name?" Jaxon gave her a quick glare before looking back down at their hands, gliding smoothly yet quickly to the other corner to reveal the entity's answer, "no." Shaking his head quickly, Jaxon shook his head, yanking his hand from the piece uncomfortably and standing.

Noelle looked up at him in confusion, "What's wrong?"

"Dude, this doesn't feel right. I'm out. I'm still watching you, but this is dumb. We're toying with something that won't even tell us its name. You don't find that even a little sketchy?"

"Well yeah, but you aren't even a little curious?"

"ABSOLUTELY NOT! Elle, guys, come on. We should stop."

Poor Jaxon was cut of as the piece moved backwards then forwards again, back onto the word "no." Glances were shared between the group and Noelle felt impending doom form a knot in her stomach.

"Then tell us your name," came the harsh response from Blair, who seemed to be feeling the same.

As she looked at everyone else, Noelle came to realize there was a look of either nervousness, panic, or both in the eyes of all involved. The planchette ceased to move and as quickly as the thought to run away crossed her mind, she found herself speaking without thought. "Tell us your name. Please." Her voice held no waver whatsoever, surprising even her, and slowly it started moving. Frantically at first, not forming a single word that made sense, until it finally slowed. First to the "G", then to the "O". It repeated this motion repeatedly, at first slowly then speeding up as a couple seconds passed on. Before they knew what was happening it started moving so quickly that Blair's and Alexianna's fingers slipped off, leaving only Noelle's in place.

"NOELLE! STOP!" shrieked Alexianna, but the girl in question hardly heard her as a ringing started in her ears.

Noelle's vision began to blur as she looked around, her eyes haulting their motion on two figures in front of her, one glowing white and the other a dark mist, neither giving off a feeling of danger. Instead they gave a feeling of safety, their positions seeming to guard her. From what she had no idea, until she let her gaze travel to the dark corner closest to her, in the small window of space between the mist and the light which both seemed visible to only her. The two forms in front of her were almost transparent, just enough for her to see the figure in an all-black suit with a sadistic smile and wild eyes staring straight at her Only then did she register the warning being spelled out for her. "Demon."

The two sheltering figures whipped what seemed to be their heads around to stare at the young girl as her vision began to fade, the screaming of her friends behind her fading even further. The last thing she remembered before blacking out was the two figures seemingly taking form as Noelle muttered words to herself that she didn't even understand and their eyes widening in surprise, one's pair a piercing blue, and the other's fully black.
