The blonde was on his way back from a quick trip to the grocery store with a bag in one hand and a cigarette in the other.
The sun was shining high in the sky but the autumn breeze made a chill climb up his back. He was too stubborn to wear a coat out today especially after his old man hassled him about putting one on certain the boy would get a cold if he did not.
When the tall man turned the corner to the Baratie he noticed a limo parked out front and no other cars in the parking lot. This was highly unusual for a Friday afternoon.
He furrows his curled brows curious if someone bought out the restaurant for the afternoon. When he spies the familiar eagle hood ornament his heart drops in his chest.
The blonde wastes no time and picks up to a sprint. Desperately he yanks open the door and hollers, "Zeff is everything alright?"
It most certainly was not.
Sitting in the empty dining room was the curly browed boy's biological father and bothers. His brothers watched him enter with shark-toothed grins waiting to strike.
The head chef of the restaurant sat pensively clasping his hands tight.
"What do you want Judge?" The lean man hisses stubbing out his cigarette, "I changed my name and am not causing any commotion. There is no reason for you to be here."
"Sanji my worthless son," Judge starts causing Sanji's hair to bristle on the back on his neck, "You are coming with us. Turns out you can be of some use to me."
"Now why in the hell would I do that?" The blonde boy growls shoving his hands in his pockets to hide the fact they were trembling. Not spending a decade with his family didn't mean his childhood trauma had magically been resolved.
His redheaded brother pulls out a gun and presses it roughly to Zeff's temple, "Do it or the geezer dies."
The younger blonde froze in his place. He nearly had forgotten his biological father's wickedness.
The bluenette goes next tossing photos on the table, "If that isn't enough to convince you, we could always go after your friends too. Nami. Luffy. Zoro. Usopp."
He tightens his fist the nails biting into the palms of his hands knowing he didn't have a choice, "Fine. I'll come with you."
Zeff stands abruptly knocking over his chair seemly not bothered by being held at gunpoint, "You don't have to listen to these bastards Sanji. We can figure something out."
The younger man blows off his pleas and ascends the stairs, "Believe it or not I don't want you dead yeah geezer. I knew this day would come eventually anyway."
Without a goodbye Sanji leaves.
With his golden lighter his light a cigarette, "What do you need me for anyway?" He inquires smoke leaving his lips as he watches his home disappear.
"We are marrying you off to the Charlotte family so we can expand the company." Judge informs watching his third son closely waiting for him to rebel.
"She is a real hottie too. You're a lucky man." His green-haired brother nudges him playfully.
"Oh yeah? Lucky me." The blonde takes another long drag, his eyes no leaving the horizon. He wondered if he would be able to explain this all to his friends or if he would even be able to talk to his friends at all.
"Pudding, the girl you will be married to, will turn 18 next summer. Then we can announce the wedding and have the transaction done by the summer after." Judge briefs his son staring down his nose at him.
