On board the Condor, the Storm Hawks were resting after a mission in Terra Gale. As the Storm Hawks rested, the Condor received a call from Atmosia.
Stork: Looks like we're getting a call from Atmosia.
Aerrow: Patch us through Stork!
Stork did just that. As he answered the call, a holographic image of Aerys, leader of the Sky Council appeared on the terminal.
Aerrow: What is it, Aerys?
Aerys(Holoimage): A few days ago, there was a large energy reading coming from Terra Gruesomus.
Finn: Terra Gruesomus? You mean that Terra that's a literal deathtrap filled with poisonous plants and Bogholwers?
Aerys(Holoimage): The very same. A Sky Knight squadron was sent to investigate, but they haven't been heard since. There were rumors that a Cyclonian Excavation team was in the area, but there's no proof.
Hearing that caught Aerrow's attention.
Aerrow: You think Cyclonians are responsible?
Aerys(Holoimage): I can't say for certain. They've been missing for days. All attempts to contact them have proven to be futile.
Piper: I don't want to say this, but don't you think that it's that they ran into the hostile wildlife? Terra Gruesomus is known to be among the most dangerous place in Atmos.
Aerys(Holoimage): While it's certainly a possibility, but it wouldn't explain the strange energy source. Something about all this doesn't add up.
Aerrow: Don't worry Aerys! We'll find the Sky Knights and get them back safe!
Aerys(Holoimage): Be careful out there Storm Hawks. Terra Gruesomus is not to be underestimated.
As the call ended, Aerrow turned to Stork with a determined look on his face.
Aerrow: Set a course for Terra Gruesomus Stork! We got Sky Knights to save!
Stork: Are you sure that's a good idea? This is borderline suicidal! I mean do you know how dangerous Terra Gruesomus is?
Junko: It can't be that bad!
Stork: Terra Gruesomus is more dangerous than Terra Merbia! And that's saying something! Trust me, I know!
Hearing that from Stork immediately made Finn and Junko hesitant about going to the Terra.
Finn: I....think I'm with Stork.
Junko: Me too.....
Aerrow: We can't just leave those Sky Knights! They need our help down there! If Cyclonians are down there.....
Stork: All the more reason not to go! If Cyclonians are on Terra Gruesomus, then that's just another deathtrap in a Terra that already has more deathtraps than I'm comfortable with!
Aerrow: Don't worry about it Stork. We'll be fine. We tackled tougher challenges before. If anyone can get through Terra Gruesomus, then it's us!
At that point, Radarr chirped his approval to Aerrow.
Aerrow: That's the spirit little buddy! What do you say, guys? Are we going to save those Sky Knights?
Soon enough, the Storm Hawks rallied behind Aerrow. While he had his reservations, Stork begrudgingly gave in and set the coordinates to Terra Gruesomus.
Stork: Why do I always get dragged into these situations? We're doomed.....
Piper: I'm going to do some digging around. I might be able to track down whatever remains that energy signal.
Aerrow: Good thinking Piper. There's a good chance that the energy signal might be connected to the missing Sky Knights.
Piper began attempting to track down the energy signal. While this was something she had never done before, Piper was confident that she could do in. In the meantime, Aerrow walked over to Stork who was piloting the Condor.
Aerrow: What's got you so spooked, Stork?
Stork: My instincts are telling me that going to Terra Gruesomus is a bad idea. Something bad is going to happen. That's not an if. It's a when.
Aerrow: Don't you think you're overreacting? We've been to a bunch of dangerous places and got out fine.
Stork: I trust my instincts on this one. Whatever is on Terra Gruesomus is not going to end well for us. I've said this once and I'll say it again, something bad is going to happen and when it does, our inevitable doom awaits us.
While he disagreed with Stork, Aerrow respected his opinion. Soon enough, Piper called Aerrow to her room. Aerrow made his way to Piper's room where she was tinkering with a Crystal.
Aerrow: You found something?
Piper: I managed to track the energy signal to this area.
Piper then pointed the point on the map where she tracked the energy signal. Upon seeing this, Aerrow smiled.
Aerrow: Great job Piper! This should help us find the Sky Knights much faster!
Piper: I'm still wondering about what caused such an energy reading. I've never seen any Crystal capable of this high amount of energy input!
Aerrow: We'll find out once we get there.
With that, the Storm Hawks had their mission. They would go to Terra Gruesomus and find the missing Sky Knights and find out what happened. Meanwhile in the far reaches of space, a nearby Predator ship detects an energy reading coming from Atmos. The Elite Predator known as Dark then gathers the rest of his pack which included two Predators known as Ghost and Thunder. The Dark then shows his comrades the location of the energy reading. Without a moment's hesitation, the Predators quickly realized that one of their sacred temples had been breached by an unknown force. The Predators saw this as sacrilege and the act alone was an act of dishonor on their culture. They couldn't allow their technology to fall into unworthy hands. The Elite Predator bestowed a mission upon himself and his brothers: destroy the temple and cleanse this dishonor. With both a purpose and a mission, the Predators set a course for Atmos with the intention of destroying the temple. Failure was not an option.
