As the Storm Hawks entered the cave, Piper used a Solaris Crystal to light the way. As they moved through the cave, the Storm Hawks reached through a strange looking cavern. The cavern led to the entrance of an ancient looking temple. The Storm Hawks were in awe at the architecture of this place.
Piper: Look at the size of this place!
Aerrow: I think it's safe to say this is where those Sky Knights are. We better get a move on.
At this point, Stork felt he had reached his limit on this mission. He thought about turning back and heading back to the Condor, but that would mean having to possible face the hostile wildlife of Terra Gruesomus. Stork begrudingly followed the other Storm Hawks to the stops of the temple. They were greeted by two giant statues of Predator Honor Guards kneeling as if to welcome them.
Finn: Well that's welcoming.
Junko: I hope this place is friendly....
Piper: I don't recognize the species. It's....it's nothing like anything I've ever seen in Atmos. There's no record of these creatures in the Atmosian archives!
Aerrow: We'll worry about that later. Let's focus on finding and rescuing the Sky Knights!
The Storm Hawks followed Aerrow as they entered the temple. They looked at the walls and saw strange murals on the walls.
Finn: Okay....I'm officially creeped out!
Stork: I second that.....
Aerrow continued leading the Storm Hawks through the temple. As they moved through the temple, they saw Cyclonian banners as well as excavation equipment.
Piper: Cyclonians......
Aerrow: Looks like we weren't the only ones who found this temple. If the Cyclonians are here, then those Sky Knights might be in big trouble!
The Storm Hawks continued to explore the temple while searching for the Sky Knights. As they did, Radarr looked up and saw black shadows moving around. He began screeching frantically while pointing at the ceiling.
Aerrow: What's wrong Radarr?
Radarr pointed at the ceiling. Aerrow and the others saw nothing.
Aerrow: I'm not seeing anything, buddy.
Stork was quick to believe Radarr. He knew more than anyone the dangers that Terra Gruesomus had. They soon saw dead bodies of Talons scattered across the temple. Each body had a gaping hole in their chests.
Piper: What happened here?
Finn: Those guys got messed up bad!
It became clear to the Storm Hawks that something killed the Talons with brutality. Despite this, Aerrow couldn't leave the Sky Knights behind. Eventually, they came across what appeared to be a sacrificial chamber.
Junko: What is this place?
Stork: Probably some kind of death chamber....
Before anyone could react, a bald man held a blaster rifle against the Storm Hawks.
Bald Man: How did you get in here?!
Aerrow: Easy there, we're here to help you.
Bald Man: You shouldn't have come here. You shouldn't have come here!
The Storm Hawks saw the bald man's armor. His attire was the armor of a Sky Knight. It didn't take long to Aerrow figure out who that person was.
Aerrow: You're one of the Sky Knights....
Bald Sky Knight: You need to get out of here, now!
Finn: Geez....so much for gratitude.
Piper: Why would we need to get out of here? We're here to help you and your squadron!
Bald Sky Knight: You kids have no idea what's here in this temple!
At this point, the Storm Hawks were confused. Their first thoughts were of the Cyclonians that had been stationed.
Aerrow: We saw the bodies. What happened here?
Bald Sky Knight: Our...our squadron came here to investigate some kind of energy disturbance in this place. We stumbled upon this temple. There's....there's only a few of us left. I don't even know if they're still alive.
Suddenly, a loud roar was heard in the distance followed by a scream of terror. Upon hearing that, the Storm Hawks readied their weapons. The Bald Sky Knight immediately felt fear.
Bald Sky Knight: We need to get out of here now!
As the Sky Knight moved towards the door, he felt a slimy substance fall on his head. He looks up and is pounced by a Xenomorph.
Finn: What the hell is that thing?!
As the Xenomorph kills the Sky Knight, the Storm Hawks found the exit blocked by a pack of Xenomorphs. The Storm Hawks readied for a fight as the Xenomorphs circled them.
Stork: I knew it! I knew it was a mistake to come here!
Piper: There's too many of them! We have to retreat!
Aerrow didn't want to retreat, but he knew that the Xenomorphs had them outnumbered and outmatched. Aerrow ordered a retreat as they tried to outrun the Xenomorphs.
Aerrow: Finn! Cut these things off!
Finn: Gotcha!
Finn used his Energy Crossbow to fire at a weak point at the entrance. The pillar collapses onto the Xenomorphs, crushing one in the process. However, another group of Xenomorphs was soon on their tail.
Piper: They just keep coming!
Stork: We're gonna die here! I knew we were gonna die in here!
Aerrow then sees a doorway leading to an inner sanctum slowly closing. Seeing no other option, the Storm Hawks rush over to the door and slid under it just in time for the door.
Finn: Okay, what the hell were those things?!
Aerrow: I....I don't know....
The Storm Hawks could hear the Xenomorphs clawing at the door. At this point, the Storm Hawks quickly realized that they have uncovered an unspeakable terror in the form of the Xenomorphs. Despite this, Aerrow would continue to search for the missing Sky Knights.
