Storm Hawks: Alien VS Predator

Chapter Eight - The Enemy Of My Enemy

The Storm Hawks along with Carth, Orion and the remnants of the Talons exited the trophy room and sought out the Predators. Despite knowing the dangerous of doing so, there was no other choice. During the search, Carth spoke with Orion.

Carth: So what's your plan once you escape?

Orion: I won't tell Master Cyclonis of the creatures if that's what you mean. I know all too well that Master Cyclonis would want those creatures as weapons. These creatures are too dangerous to be released.

Carth was hesitant to believe Orion's words, but at least Orion had sense. Suddenly, a pack of Xenomorphs crept from the shadows and surrounded the group. Everyone soon geared up for a fight.

Stork: Oh doom, why have you forsaken me?

As they geared up for the fight, the Xenomorphs hissed at them, but made no attempt to attack.

Carth: Something's not right.....

The pack of Xenomorphs soon crept back into the shadows, confusing both the Sky Knights and the Cyclonians.

Piper: Why didn't they attack?

Junko: Maybe we scared them?

As Junko said that, loud footsteps began approaching. All soon turned their attention to the end of the corridor.

Stork: That doesn't sound good.....

Aerrow: Keep your guard up, everyone.

Out the the shadows came a Praetorian Xenomorph. It's size was double that of the Xenomorphs they had been fighting.

Finn: That's one big bug....

As Finn said that, the Praetorian unleashes a deafening screech which nearly overwhelms them. The Praetorian then lunges at the Talons and slaughter them. Orion was able to avoid the slaughter by rolling out of the way. Carth then fires his Plasma Castor at the Praetorian.

Carth: We have to bring that thing down!

Stork: What about the rest of the pack?!

Aerrow: We'll deal with them!

Finn covers Carth by firing his Energy Crossbow at the Praetorian, but the arrows simply bounce off it's exoskeleton.

Finn: My crossbow isn't doing jack! I think it's just pissing this thing off!

As they battle the Praetorian, Orion rushes over to Aerrow and Piper.

Orion: I need you to buy me time!

Piper: For what?!

Orion: I need you to divert the creature's attention so I can deliver the killing blow!

With that, Aerrow and Piper shouted at the Praetorian, gaining it's attention. Junko then jumps on the Praetorian and uses his Knucklebusters to punch the Praetorian's head. The Praetorian fiercely fights back.

Junko: I.... don't know how long I can hang on!

The Praetorian then grabs Junko and prepares to kill him with his Inner Mouth. Orion then stabs it in the side with his Crystal sword, causing the Praetorian to scream in pain.

Orion: Now you face a Cyclonian, monster!

As Orion was about to kill the Praetorian, the Praetorian impales Orion with it's tail. Carth and Aerrow attempt to attack, but the Praetorian sweeps them with it's tail. Piper then rush over to Carth's Plasma Castor. As the Praetorian moved against her, Piper shot the Plasma Castor in the creature's chest. The Praetorian screeched in pain as it collapsed onto the floor. As the Praetorian died, Piper took a moment to catch her breath as Carth and the Storm Hawks got up. 

Carth: Not bad....

Piper: Orion, is he....

Carth: Dead. 

As Carth said that, a pair of three red dots were aimed at Piper. Soon enough, Dark and Thunder uncloaked and approached them. As Thunder was about to attack, Dark gestured him to stop. Dark then approached Piper. Carth and the Storm Hawks were still as the Elite Predator pointed to the dead Praetorian. 

Stork; How did they get past that pack?

Carth then points to the corridor that was littered with the dismembered bodies of the Xenomorphs. Meanwhile, Dark turned his attention to the Plasma Castor in her hand. 

Piper: It's...it's yours, isn't it?

Piper then hands the Plasma Castor to Dark. As Dark claimed the Plasma Castor, he took Piper's staff. He then walked over to the dead Praetorian and chopped off it's tail. He then attaches it to Piper's staff. He then hands it to her with respect. As Piper takes the staff, Piper spoke with Dark.

Piper: We....we want the same thing. We want to seal this temple....

Dark remained still as he turned his head to Thunder. Both seemed to have a respect for Piper due to her killing the Praetorian. 

Piper: The enemy of my enemy....is my friend. We....we want to help you. 

After a moment of silence, Dark activates his gauntlets which shows a holographic projection of the temple. The holoprojection then showed three flashing red lights. 

Aerrow: What are those lights?

Piper: I....I think those are weak points....weak points to the temple. 

At that point, it seemed as it the Predators were accepting their help. Piper had proven herself to be a skilled hunter in their eyes. And with her giving back the Plasma Castor, Dark and Thunder had no hostilities towards them. 

Stork: I can't believe that actually worked.....

Aerrow: Looks like we got that alliance. Now all that's left is to destroy the temple. 

Carth then walked over to the corpse of Orion. Despite being enemies, Carth took a moment to mourn his sacrifice. He then took Orion's sword. Dark and Thunder began waking away with the Storm Hawks and Carth following them. In that moment, the Storm Hawks and Carth had formed an alliance with the Elite Predators to destroy the temple and prevent the Xenomorphs from escaping into Atmos.
