Youngjae felt like shit, physically and emotionally.

He hadn't meant to curse at Mark, and to punish himself he worked as hard as he could that night. By the time he went to sleep it was early in the morning and everything in his body was burning with exhaustion.

His stomach hurt when he woke up the next morning. Youngjae rolled over in his bunk and winced as his muscles cried out in pain. He groaned and combed his fingers through his hair, getting out of bed and stretching.

Youngjae slowly opened the door and shuffled sleepily into their dorm's living space. All the other members were there already, and when he entered they all glanced at him. They went back to their breakfasts and talked while the leader beckoned him over.

"Oh, hey Youngjae, breakfast?"

He shook his head and waved his hand, as if brushing the idea of food away. He sat down next to him and Jaebum frowned, making worried eye contact with Mark over the table. Youngjae didn't catch the interaction, just yawned widely.

"Hey, why don't you eat just a bit, okay?"

"Oh, no I'm not really hungry."

"You should still eat, it's good for you."

Youngjae looked at the leader confusedly. He wasn't quite sure why he was being so persistent that he ate today.

"I'm really fine, it's-"

He caught Mark's eye from across the table and paused mid-sentence, trying to figure out the look in his eye. Jaebum set a warm hand gently on top of the younger boys', the gesture more out of place than comforting. Youngjae couldn't figure out what was so different; why was Jaebum being so persistent and touchy, what was that look on Mark's face for-

and then he realized what it was. Mark looked guilty.

Youngjae stood up abruptly, anger shining through his eyes. The members looked at him in surprise, Mark and Jaebum glancing at each other again and then back up at the angry boy.

"You told him?!"

Mark stood up slowly as if Youngjae were a wounded animal. The members looked increasingly confused, wondering what the hell was going on.

"What the hell, Mark? Did you tell all the others too?"

Jaebum stood up next to Youngjae, putting a hand on his shoulder, but he shook it off.

"Hey, calm down, he only told me. You trust me right? It's good that I know, now I can help you-"

"I don't need help! I don't know WHO the fuck I trust!"

The members flinched, not used to the cursing from Youngjae. They could already tell that something was different about him, because the sunshine boy they knew never swore or got mad.

Youngjae balled his hands into tight fists, digging his fingernails into the palm of his hands.

"Jae, why don't we talk about this alone-"

"I don't want to be near you, Mark. You told him, I- I trusted you."

Mark looked down at the floor guiltily as Youngjae stormed into his room like a toddler, slamming the door and making them all flinch.

Jaebum realized the other members were all staring at him and Mark, confused. He ran a hand through his long hair and sat down.

"Um, hyung?"

"Yeah?"

Yugyeom glanced at their leader before asking what Youngjae was mad about.

"I really shouldn't tell you guys. It'll just cause more damage."

Mark leaned on Jackson's shoulder and closed his eyes as he stroked his hair. He knew he had fucked up- by why couldn't Youngjae see himself as they saw him?

He was perfect.
