That boy. I knew who he was and I knew his intentions. He was up to no good.
People talk. Well, everyone in this town does except for me. Joseph. He was a player to say the least. He has more baby mamas than I have fingers to count them with. The man has more than enough children to start a soccer team of his own kin alone.
I cannot blame those poor women who fall for him. He is like Lucifer. He is a handsome young man, an angel among the lesser faces of the men who live in this town. Alas, the poor virgins fall to him like the fallen angels. Doomed to carry his bastard children.
However, the man did begin committing to his latest baby mama, Taneesha. She used to be one of the prettiest damsels of the town. Her hair was always lucious and healthy, and she was the most well-pampered gals in the entire town. Oh, how Joseph sucked the youth out of such a beautiful and innocent-looking flower. Her hair grew ill, her nails were less neat, and her body was scrawny enough to be blown away by the wind
The pair have three kids together, a pair of twin boys and one girl. For a while, the whole town was convinced he'd changed. He was engaged to this woman, and prepared to get married to her.
The thing is, men are habitual creatures. A sudden change in them is never to be trusted. It almost seems as though they can't help it at times—they're like broken clocks, never ticking correctly—if he was set wrong from the start then there is no hope for him to be set right without a good fixing. People believed Taneesha was his fixing, but it was all only temporary. After he sucked all the beauty and joy that was in her, he moved to the next victim, ticking the same old way.
I wish I could warn Ashley, I want to stop her, I want to warn her what she is getting herself into, but a speechless messenger is not the most effective. Unfortunately, without that magical talking box she calls a "phone", I can't do much.
