A/n: Idk how I did this is a fucking day-I've been working on another one for practically two months.
"What was your Charm's score?"
Y/n and Percy were on their way to the library to start studying for their upcoming potions exam.
"An O," Percy said simply.
Y/n cheered for her friend, "Nice!"
"What about you, Y/n?"
"Ugh, you know. Acceptable."
"That's still good," Percy said, trying to help brighten her mood.
"For a Ravenclaw? Everyone expects the best from us. Even the damn first years!"
"Well, I'm sure you'll do much better on the potions exam."
"Yeah, right, Snape will give me the lowest grade possible."
"He does that to everyone," Percy attempted to reason with her.
"Not that Slytherins!"
"I'm sure there are some."
"Yeah, whatever."
Percy sighed, "Why am I friends with you again?"
"Because we're essentially social outcast- together." She chuckled and added, "You're also great at studying and very easy to copy off of."
He laughed, "That's why only you're assignments have Outstandings."
"Hey!" Y/n smacked Percy's arm with one of her books.
"Ouch," he hissed, "don't do that!"
"Then don't say such ludicrous things," she huffed with a smirk on her face. Percy glared at Y/n while she laughed. "Calm down, look, we're here!"
The pair walked to the back of the library while picking up books here and there. They were also discussing an effective studying strategy for Y/n. When they reach their 'usual' table, they came to an unruly sight-at least in Y/n's opinion.
"They're sitting at our table, Percy!" She snapped.
"Technically, Y/n, that's not our table."
"Oh, shut up! Stop being technical." She thought for a moment. "What are we going to do?"
"Find a new table?"
Y/n ignored his remark, "What if we tricked them into leaving?"
Percy took his glasses off and rubbed his eyes, "And how do you suppose we do that?"
She was at a loss of ideas.
Percy -now with glasses back on- spoke, "Exactly."
Y/n grumbled, when an idea suddenly came to mind, "Wait! I know!"
"Oh, no, I know that look-"
"What about your brothers?!"
"No, absolutely not!"
"But why..." She dragged out the "y."
"We don't need to encourage their behavior."
"But, they have cool behavior." Percy eyed Y/n. "Okay, sure, they can be irresponsible and often get into trouble, but so? They're kids and are enjoying themselves, there isn't wrong with that. Plus, they're not failing any classes, so I'd call that a win-win."
Percy thought hard about this. "Hmph. You have an excellent point. But we're not forcing these people to leave."
"But Percy..." Again, Y/n dragged out the "y."
"No, Y/n." His voice was firm. "Let's just go sit somewhere else, we've already wasted enough time debating this. Do you want to fail or are you just procrastinating?"
Y/n sighed in defeat, "You're no fun, Percy. Fine, come on then, where are we sitting?"
Before he could answer, an irritated voice snapped at them. "Go ahead and take your stupid table back." It was one of the girls who was sitting at the table. "With all your annoying yelling, we couldn't get anything done. I'm surprised Pince hasn't come over here and kicked you two out yet!" With that, she snapped her head forward, huffed, and walked out with her friends.
"Alright, sweet!"
"How can you be praising yourself at a time like this?"
"I got us our table back!"
"Was that you're plan all along?"
Y/n laughed, "No, of course not. I had no bloody plan!"
Percy simply shook his head and sat down.
"Alright, so what are we gonna do now?" Y/n asked eagerly.
"Study."
"Nothing else? Nothing to celebrate our victory?"
"Of course not, Y/n. We need to study."
"Gosh, Percy. Why am I friends with you again?"
He smiled and opened a book, "Because we're social outcast together, I'm very good at studying, and exceptionally easy to copy off of."
Y/n smirked, "Ah, right."
