"I run my fingers through your hair
And watch the lights go out
Just keep on keeping your eyes on me
It's just strong enough to make you feel right"

I sat in the Corner Café with Kathy, across from her in a secluded little booth.
“So, she didn’t sat why you were invited?” Kathy questioned. I had informed her of Ally’s invitation, and had already begged her to go with me. Parties weren’t Kathy’s thing, and she tried to stay away from them as much as possible. Not that I minded, I didn’t go to parties much anyway. Kathy was the poet who liked to stay at home and drink tea while watching ABC family with her toy poodle, Kawaii.
I shook my head. “nope. Just said to come. I don’t trust her. I suspect fowl play.” Kathy rolled her eyes.
“Alessandra has nothing against you. She probably just wanted to invite you to get on the good side of the ‘alternatives’.” I laughed at the name given to anyone who had piercings and tattoos. Most of the ones I knew, hated Alessandra with a fiery passion, since she made it clear they disgusted her. I had lived across the street from Alessandra since elementary school, which for some god forsaken reason made of us friends. Not that I didn’t mind. It kept me okay with the ‘In’ crowd, making my social life easier for me, not having to worry about whether someone was out to get me or not. Not that anyone would.
Most students who attended McAllister Academy, knew who I was and liked me as far as I knew. I wasn’t mean, I was actually quite friendly, and gracious towards everyone. And I had a winning sense of humor.
“I guess. I haven’t really gone out anyway. We are going.” I decided. Kathy sighed. “Anywho, Yale Collins gets more annoying everytime I talk to him.”
“Then why do you talk to him..?” Kathy wasn’t one of those girls who got sucked into Yale’s flirting and obsessed over him, which I loved about her.
“Well he was staring at me and it was getting annoying.” I huffed. If there was anyone I could say I hated at McAllister, it would have to be Yale Collins. And Lindsay Viebe, but that’s a different story. Yale disgusted me, and made it a point to annoy me every chance he got. Everyone knew we hated eachother, although we were very civilized with our hate, and no one knew why. I didn’t know why he hated me, but I knew why I hated him, and I made it very clear to him.
“Ignore him? Duh.” Kathy smiled, before scooting out of the booth. “Ugh, I have to go. Bye Morry.”
We said our goodbyes and separated. I decided against calling someone to come pick me up, and began to walk home, thankful I was wearing my nike high tops instead of heels. My black jeans were tucked into them and I wore a lose blue tank top, showing off a bit of my black bra underneath, but not in a slutty way. I wore my leather jacket and marched my way home.
The café was only 5 blocks away from my house, so I didn’t really mind the walk, just happy to get a little exersize.
“Need a ride?” A black mustang rolled up next to me, and the windows rolled down to reveal a smirking Yale.
“No thank you sir.” I continued to walk forward.
“You do realize it about to rain, right?” I looked up at the sky, hoping he was wrong. Oh shit. I watched a large storm cloud begin to swell above us. I fucking hated storms.
“Uh, okay. Ride.” I quickly got into his car, pulling on the seat belt.
“Don’t like storms?” Yale questioned.
I shook my head no. “Why are you offering me a ride?” I narrowed my eyes at him suspiciously.
“Because I’m nice? You act like im some inconsiderate asshole, mittens.”
“YOU ARE.” I pointed out, already beginning to get agitated with him. After a few minutes of awkwardly riding together we finally arrived at my house, and I got out of the car, not bothering to thank him.
