Call to Action

We need to do something to stop abortion. People who participate in the March for Life and pray outside Planned Parenthood during Lent are already doing something to stop abortion but we need more people. We can do more. We can do our best to avoid spending our money at businesses affiliated with Planned Parenthood.

Citizens should do something to end abortion, like a petition. Petitions have worked in the past. For example, when the Bank of America wanted to place fees on owning an ATM card, 22 year old Molly Katchpole arranged a petition. After 300,000 people signed the petition, the bank decided not to follow through. In 2014, a Sudanese woman, Mariam Ibrahim, who converted to Christianity, was to be put to death; however, a petition gaining over a million signers prompted authorities to free Ibrahim.

I have participated with my family in the Walk for Life march in downtown Spokane. It occurs in January to protest the anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision. We gather in the park, pray, and listen to passionate pro-life speakers. We hold signs and walk through downtown Spokane with hundreds of other like minded people. Two years ago my mom and I were interviewed by a TV reporter who aired the interview on the news that evening.
