The forest was windy with crickets chirping everywhere. Antoly took lead , "I think this is far enough... We should set up camp for morning... Alexei get some wood will you?"
The group stopped at a small open field surrounded by forest.
"will do!" Alexei takes his hatchet from backpack and starts chopping from a small tree.
Antoly starts taking camping gear from his backpack, "how much sleeping bags do we have?"
Grishka responds as he is getting up, "three for you, me, and Alexei."
"Well shit... How many survivors from the ambush?"
"A couple, wounded people can use the sleeping bags..."
"alright sounds like a plan"
The camp is little with a campfire and three sleeping backs reserved for the wounded.
After the camp is set up Alexei and Grishka head to sleep while Antoly takes watch.
"You guys hungry?" Antoly says to the people he rescued from the ChDKZ outpost.
They all slowly nod as Antoly takes out two cans of food, "it's tactical bacon, some of the best food you'll ever get the luxury of buying or finding out here."
He opens and passes it over to a wounded man in a tankers uniform. "Thank you..." He passes another to the white haired girl, she just slowly takes it from his hand.
"I never got your name, mines Antoly, the old guys name is Grishka, and the other one is Alexei."
"S-SVD and this is S.A.T 8" she points towards the unconscious girl in her lap.
"And what about you guys?" Antoly says
"Alexender I'm a CDF tank crewman" said a old man in his 50s he looked older then Grishka.
A more younger man spoke up maybe in his 30s "Vadim infantry man part of the CDF"
"Ak-47 GnK" said a blond haired girl wearing a red beret
"RPD GnK" said a white haired girl with a red beret
Antoly stretches his arms, "not many survived huh?"
"No... We're the lucky bunch... Or unlucky... " said Vadim while he takes a bite from a piece of bacon.
The whole camp was silent besides Grishka's loudass snoring. The wind that was harsh died down and the crickets stopped chirping which Antoly didn't like, the forest goes silent when infected enter.
"You guys new here?" Antoly tried to make some more conversation as the silence was really bugging him.
"No not really" said SVD "we came in here a couple weeks ago... Although we haven't been outside base much except for two missions I think."
Antoly points towards SAT8 "What about her? What caused her to go unconscious?"
Ak-47 spoke this time around, "Comrade SVD found her like that, she managed to convinced the fuckers to take her along with us. I think she bumped her head or something like that."
Antoly sighs, "You guys should head to sleep. I'm gonna keep watch till maybe around 4, then I'll wake this fucker up" he points towards Alexei
6:43am
Grishka stands up and yells, "Alright you guys wake up and let's get a move on!"
Alexei jumped up and snapped back at him, "shut up you'll attract any infected in the area over here"
