The grass swayed peacefully as the two walked on the outskirts of Servograd. Both of them soon came across a road that went up north, this is the road that will lead towards the camp.
The wind picked up and the trees and grass swayed more aggressively. MAB 38 had her beret fall of her head, Vasily picked it up and handed it to her.
"Thanks" she muttered as the two continued to walk up the road.
The grass field became a forest as the two walked. A single car smashed into a tree heading the opposite way. One rotting body was in the front seat of the car and in the back was two little ones. Skulls smashed due to the impact of the crash and dried up blood on the seats.
"Oh god..." Vasily said as he peered into the car
MAN 38 peered inside too looking at the bones of the deceased, "trying to get away from something and the person at the wheel lost control?"
"Yeah yeah, probably infected or bandits... Maybe even wolves or bears."
MAB 38 raised an eyebrow, "I though wolves and bears didn't attack people"
"The animals might think that the healthy humans are infected. Animals and infected do not mix well together."
"Let us hope we don't run into a wolf pack or bear."
The two walked a little ways into the forest passing more wrecked cars and vans before encountering a tall gate way that led into the camp. The camp was pretty clear of infected most of them in a mass grave by the lake, bodies too fresh to be the Militaries work.
Cabins were in rows parallel to each other a field lies near them and a well sat in the middle. A path led to two military barracks and a mini hospital of some sorts.
Vasily looked at the dead bodies by the lake, "I used to swim in here with friends and go fishing... Goddamn it smells"
MAB 38 also looked at the bodies, "You guys don't burn them?"
"Oh we do, but looks like they don't wanna waste gas on the poor bastards."
Vasily and MAB 38 scouted out the summer camp. Two bandits on the porch of a cabin playing a game of checkers. Three eating near a table and three more playing a card game near them. All in all there is 8 bandits in total.
"What do you think?" Vasily questions MAB 38, "we go in loud or quietly? 8 of them and 2 of us. I would rather take it quietly"
MAB 38 shakes her head, "do you have a suppressor and if you do what does that make a mildly loud gunshot. A knife would work, but you'd have to separate them or do it at the same time."
"How about we kill the two guys in the cabin silently and shoot up the rest. It would be a surprise and we would kill most of them and the remaining ones can be delt with easily"
"sounds good"
MAB 38 and Vasily crept up to the cabin and the two bandits were playing checkers on the porch.
"Hey you fucking cheated!" One bandit yells at the other
"What no I didn't!? It's your fault you bad at the game, now pay up!"
The other bandit handed him a vodka bottle.
"can you throw a knife?" MAB 38 questions Vasily
"yeah... I think" Vasily shrugs and takes out a combat knife and creeps up about 5 meters away from the porch
