I ran to my locker and opened my locker door. A mirror hung on the locker door. I looked at my reflection in that mirror.

I don't look any different. What's happening to me?

I grabbed my first period books and shut my locker. Looking down the hall I saw my friends walking towards me. Jaimie was walking along side my other two friends Izzy and Air. I could see the concerned looks on their faces.

"Rae, what happened back there?" Jaimie was the first one to speak.

"I-," I stammered. "I don't know!"

"Don't worry. Everything will be okay," Izzy consoled.

She placed her hand on my shoulder. Her eyes had a confident understanding in them. I smiled at her. Hearing the first period bell ring, we waved goodbye and head to class.

The day went by quickly and before I knew it the last period bell rang. I went to my locker to get ready to go home. I opened my locker door only to have it slammed shut again. Behind the door stood Ash and Kara. Ash placed his right hand on my locker revealing burned flesh and red skin.

"You witch!" He yells his brown eyes filled with anger.

Kara shoved me into the lockers. Smashing my head against the rough surface, I fell to the ground. I drop my head and stared at the floor. I felt blood trickle down the side of my face. I saw it drip onto the cold floor. A shadow fell over me and I lifted my head to the person standing in front of me. A boy stood in front of me facing Ash and Kara. I noticed his hair was golden almost like burning cinders. I couldn't see his face since his back was facing me.

"What do you want you wrench? I'm in the middle of something!" Ash snaps at the boy.

"I can handle you being rude to her, but I will not let you hurt her!" He snapped back. His clenched hands tighten even harder. He was enraged.

"So? What can you do about it? I run this school," Ash smirked back.

Next thing I knew, Ash is holding his face as blood ran down out of his nose and down his face. He stared at the boy with fear and ran out the school door with Kara quickly following.

I tried to get on my feet, but my vision blackened and I fell back to my knees. The boy turned to me and knelt down. He had fiery golden eyes just like his hair. His stern look unchanging as he peers at me.

"Don't strain yourself, Raeyla. We need you in one piece," He speaks, his tone softened only slightly.
