Finally the small black car rolled to a stop. I looked out the window to find us at a large airport. The thundering sound of an airplane taking off filled my ears. Mason climbed out of the car, and I decided to do the same. Mr. Vane was already getting the my suitcase out of the trunk by the time I got out of the car. We followed him into the overcrowded airport until we got to a lady at a desk, who seemed quite disinterested in a pile of papers that lie before her. Mr. Vane cleared his throat and the lady glanced up at him. He held up a card and a piece of paper for the lady to see. She only nodded and motioned with her hand for him to go on. We walked over to a line of kids going through checkpoint. They each had either one suitcase or a bag of some sort. I didn't see any other adult except the two officers checking their stuff.

"I believe you can handle it from here. I have something I need to attend to really quickly, but I'll meet you guys on the plane."Mr. Vane said, holding my suitcase out for me to take. I did as he waved while walking away.

"What does he have to go do?" I asked Mason.

"How should I know?" He replied staring off into the distance.

"Are we flying to the school?" I asked again, ignoring his rudeness.

"Didn't you just hear him? Yes, we are flying. In fact, the entire plane is dedicated to taking people to and from the island that the school is on." He said, obviously annoyed.

"Gosh, just asked a couple of questions. You don't have to be so rude," I was now annoyed. He kept getting on my nerves, talking about how I was just a brat with no potential.

We got through the checkpoint quickly and headed towards a large white plane. I followed the line of kids ranging from it looked like eight to eighteen. Most of them looked excited, but some of them seemed sad. The only sad kids I saw were some of the younger ones. I wonder what had upset them. If this is a plane just for the school then maybe these kids are attending. It makes sense. I felt a nudge behind me. It shook me out of my thoughts and I looked up to see who nudged me. It was Mason and he still seemed annoyed. I realized that I had stopped right before the stairs of them plane.

"Come on, princess. We aren't all gonna wait on you all day," He grumbled.

I froze. The last person to call me that drove a dagger into my chest, Grim. I know it was jt a dream, but it was the most real dream I have ever experienced and Grim terrified me. I was barely able to whisper one sentence before climbing into the plane, "Don't ever call me that again."

I made my way to the back of the plane. finding the last seat, I pushed my suitcase in the compartment above and then plopped down into the seat next to the window. Mason didn't follow me back which was fine with me because I didn't want him back here anyways. Why did he have to be such a jerk anyways. He has no reason to hate me, yet he does. He's hiding something I know it. I sighed and rested my head on the window. I watched as the plane started rolling down the runway and then pushing itself off the ground. Slowly I nodded off into sleep.

I woke back up on that same island, but unlike before there was no water. Instead the island was floating in the sky. Clouds Floated around the small island, none of them coming near it. Everything was bright, as if it produced its own energy. I looked down at myself to find myself wearing a beautiful dress. the style was very old fashioned because it looked like it dated back to the medieval ages. There were two layers to it. The over-layer was sleeveless and opened in the front showing the under layer of the dress. It seemed to be made of silver scales, but was still very light. Golden string laced the over-layer together. The under-layer sleeves flowed down my arms and hung off my wrists. It was made out of a golden silk that flowed down to the ground. The dragon pendant hung around my neck.

"Do you like the outfit," Korin's voiced echoed through the air.

I looked up to see him sitting in front of me,"It's beautiful. Are these made out of your scale?

He smiled,"Yes, That dress was made by me for the first human I inhabited. The scales are impenetrable and the silk is made from dragon's fire, making it able to withstand the strongest flames. We have much to talk about, Child. please sit.

Obeying, I sat down,"Inhabited?"

He gave me a confused look,"Haven't you read the history? The battle between me and my brother took every last bit of life force away and since we weren't mortal we were able to thrust the sliver of soul we had left into a human."

"I remember my aunt telling me that. You put your soul into a young girl, turning her hair and eyes silver...like mine," I realized.

He smiled, like I was finally grasping something unthinkable, but it couldn't be true. I looked down and shook my head. I had to think about it, process it. I came to the conclusion that I was able to talk to him because he inhabited my ancestor's body being able to talk to me through her, but deep down I knew it wasn't true. I looked back up to ask more questions, but he wasn't there. Instead, Grim was there, leaning against a tree smiling at me. My eyes widened with fear. He tried to kill me last time.

"Oh, Do I scare you?" He laughed at me, but his eyebrows burrowed down in confusion. He came closer, his robes trailed behind him in smoky folds. "Why do you think I want to kill you?"

"Because you tried to last time!" I yelled, pulling a little courage out of the fear I was feeling. He grabbed my wrist and yanked me upwards until I stood on my feet.

"Listen! There is something going on that is much greater than you think! I am not trying to kill you!" He snapped. He looked down at the dress I was wearing," Oh, you wear the armor of Korin's champion. That's expected since he lives in you."

"Let go of me!" I tried to pull my arm free. I didn't want to listen to him. "You tried to kill me, and you want to destroy our world to punish your brother. Its predictable and you would do it because you're a monster!"

He let go of my arm and gave me a hurt look,"Once I did, but not anymore. I do not control my actions anymore. Only you can save this wretched planet. Ask Korin about our father. Maybe that will open things up for you."

I woke to someone shaking me. I opened my eyes to see Mason standing beside me. He pointed out the window and said,"We're here. Its time to go."
