The Punishment

The two young lovers spent the rest of the night enjoying all of the wonderful things their bodies could do to each other before eventually falling asleep in each other's arms. Stephane slept for a couple of hours and woke up just before sunrise. He couldn't help but smile as he saw Catharine sleeping soundly in his shirt. He carefully got up out of bed and began to get dressed. "Going so soon?" Catherine teased with a smirk as she eyed him up. "The servants will be here soon" he said and leaned over to kiss her. As soon as their lips connected, Henry and five heavily armed guards burst through the door. "I warned you Stephane" Henry growled as the guards seized Stephane. It took a knee to the stomach to make Stephane stop resisting the guards. He was terrified of what they'd do to Catherine.

After Stephane was dragged away kicking and screaming, waking the whole castle up in the process, Henry's mother, a stern looking woman entered the room. "Get dressed you whore" she barked at the now trembling Catherine and threw a wedding dress at her. "You are marrying my son in ten minutes" the queen hissed and left the room. Catherine got dressed with the help of her ladies in silence. She was cold as ice. She knew one of them had betrayed her and she thought it was Henry's older sister. She felt so guilty for dragging Stephane into her mess. She feared he'd lose his head for loving her. She worried that she'd never see him again.

The guards eventually let Stephane go and threw him in the dungeons. He was more worried for Catherine's life than his own. He feared that the worst would happen to his sweet Catherine. Henry entered the dungeon and the pair fought before Henry delivered his punishment to Stephane. The guards then took Stephane to his room to change. His punishment was to watch the woman he loved more than life itself marry a man he now hated. His wrists were bound with rope and her was dragged to the chapel. He then watched the best thing that ever happened to him marrying a man who didn't deserve her. After the ceremony, Stephane was forced to watch Catherine consummate her marriage. Henry wanted Stephane to know that Catherine was his now. Stephane had no choice but the watch the twinkle draining from Catherine's eyes with every grunt and groan Henry made. He saw the light of his light lose her sparkle. He left shortly after and rode away into the night, fearing he's never see her again.
