Summer Swing -Chapter 3

*Summer of 1933*

As the summer of 1933 begun so did the prep for the high school summer dance it was the talk of the school at David Briggs High as always Jessica would be crowned queen and James would be crowned king. Y/N Williams got more and more beautiful and smart as she grew up she also caught more and more boys eye including the one and only James Buchman Barnes.

Dear Diary,

Yet again i am venting my problems to a book instead of actully speaking them to someone but hey that what this is for anyway the dance I happening which I hat why cause its pathetic but as per usual my father and my brothers would have a go at me for not going but this year i have to go to keep a eye on jasper such a pain in the arse always chasing girls but there again he learned from the one and only James Buchman Barnes Brooklyn biggest skirt chaser urrg makes me sick like honestly what do girls find attractive in him yeah he has nice ocean blue eyes and he is tall and has lovely brown locks but his personailty make me throw up i dont understand but there again he is only ever a dick to one girl and that is but since i am steve bestfriend so he has to speak to me i was thinking on asking steve to the dance as friends since who else do i have to go with anyway thats my ranting done today x

As Y/N put her book under her bed and dusted of her dress she heard a knock at the door it was problely Steve and James as always as she strigtened out her skirt and put a extra pin in her hair to keep it in place she opened the door to see the two young boys stood there steve smiling as always and james looking out the behind him at the girls walking down the street winking and giving them a boyish smiles she gestured her hand inviting them in Steve walked in followed by James "Havent you got a girlfriend James" Y/N aksed "She isnt my girlfriend she just my date for the dance and i dont know if i want to even go with her yet theres other girls i may have my eye on" James smiled boyishly Y/N coughed "Skirt Chaser" James face dropped "ohhh sorry must be catching a cough" she finshed off with a grin steve laughing sat of the sofa laughing.

"So Steve have you got a date for this dance" Y/N asked steve turned pink with nevornes James stared and laughed at him "What, whats so funny i was only gonna ask you to the dance as my friend" Y/N said angrily james continued laughing and Steve went a deeper pink "James buchaman Barnes tell me this instance" James just laughed "Just wait and see" he said in a happy but disapointed expression.

*Flashback*

"So Bucky who you asking to dance" Carl Sandbreg he was known as one of the best jocks good at baseball,track,football anything you name he was good at. "Asking Carl i dont need to i could get any girl in this school." Carl just laughed "what" james asked intrigued " not everyone bucky i believe that friend of yours wouldnt even allow you to even ask her" James just laughed "I could totally get Y/N to go to the dance with me" james smiled. Carl asked "who is she going with anyway?" James looked confused "she probely just ask steve to go as her friend."

"As she asked him yet ?" Carl aksed curiosly.

"Ermmm no i dont think so why ?" james stared at carl unsure of his next statement .

"Nothing i was just gonna ask her she seems like a pretty dame also heard she quiet easy to whoozes so it might get to be my lucky night"Carl smirked James stopped packing his bag and turned to Carl with a anger in his eye

"Hey dont talk about her like that if your gonna aks her atleast be a gentlemen" James snapped at him " hey chill i was joking Bucky didnt know you were so protective over her" Carl spoke he then put a smile on and said " sure you dont have a crush on her bucky?" James at looked him confused " i am pretty sure i dont Carl."
