Unexpected - Chapter 4

*Winter of 1934*

Life had been ususal for everyone around Brooklyn steve was still with his mother sarah and unfortunately still getting beat up behind the back of ally ways I was still focasing on my work rather than getting married and james barnes was still on and off with jessica but when he wasnt with jessica he was still a skirt chaser.My father came back but went off again to washington and teddy and authur done the same too but came back and forth from my aunts.So it is always just me and jasper in the house living off whatever our father sent us but whenever jasper went to his friends or snuck out with some girl me ,steve and james built forts out of the sofa and i baked treats while we watched movies and laughed till we fell alseep James and i came closer something i never though would happen it all started since the night of the summer dance when he saved me from that brute.

As normal there was a knock at my door around about 11 it was steve but just steve he walked in smiling i gave him a confused look." Hey wheres James ?" I asked "Oh did he not tell you him and jessica are back on and apparently they are actully being serious" he said making air quotes with his hand when he said serious I just giggled .

"So it will just be me and you now i guess" he said with a grin "He be back soon" i replyed with a reasussing smile.

"I dunno Y/N they been lovey dovey for the past 2 week not a single argument between them two normally their on there fourth breakup now " steve said unsure.

"Trust me he be back with us by next week" she said. Thats what she hoped.

*Spring of 1935*

But that wasnt what happend James had been with Jessica since November 1934 he barely ever spoke to steve and Y/N. It was only ever him and jessica now and it wasnt long before he will be popping the question to her and then i will no longer be his doll.

Lets hope he will show up for my birthday this saturday.

*Y/N Birthday*

My father and my brothers came home for my birthday which i was grateful for my father bought gifts from washington a pair of earings and a new pefume with some new heels and a bunch of amazing skirts we had a large family meal for my birthday which was nice but i was more excited to be going to Coney Island with steve and james tonight.

I had my hairs in curl pins all day just for tonight as i removed them applying a bold red lipstick and my brand new navy dress and i slipped on my black heels and grabbed my mini purse slidding on my navy petti coat i kissed my father on the cheek giving him the tightest hug as i knew he woukd be gone by the time i woke up tommorow i blew a kiss to all my brothers as i shut the door i heard a shout from jasper "Dont be kissing no boys" I grinned looking down at my heels walking a few blocks steve and james said they would meet me there as it was a surprise. Getting more excited i sped up my pace making it to the entrance of the fair looking around i noticed steve but no james "Steve" i hugged him tightly getting strange looks from the people passing by as i pulled out steve laughing with rose in his cheeks "so when is James showing up" i asked curiosly steve looked to the floor " ummm ..Y/N he umm... " steve stumbling for words "he's with her isnt he" i said in a angered tone "yeah look Y/N i am sure he is sorry and he.." Before steve could finish "No but he isn't sorry look around steve he dosnt care about us no more its all about Jessica Walsh his pretty little doll he is pathetic fucking pathetic .... He is a dick ... A dick" tears welled up in my eye steve could see giving me a warm hug " hey hey Y/N just forget about him stop crying" .

"Okay,okay i will as long as you buy me a ice cream" i laughed patting my tears away " what will it be this time mint or chocolate" steve spoke "hmmm i guess i take chocolate" them both laughing walking up to the ice cream booth "Oh before i forget here is your gift i know it not much and it's not exactly the most expensive gift out there but... " before steve could say anymore Y/N eyes welled up
Flicking through the note book drawing of her and some of her and james and some of all three of them Steve had drew them all "oh wow steve really thank you this is the best gift ever thank you". Steve and Y/N went on rides,played carnival games ,Y/N even won Steve a teddy.Sitting down on the bench full of joy they sat there Y/N head on steve shoulder sipping on lemonade "thank you" Y/N mumbled "what for" steve laughed "for tonight for making tonight amazing even without that dick here" Y/N laughed .

"Hey Y/N promise one thing you wont turn around" steve said uneasyly "turn around What are you talking about " Y/N laugh truning her head "no dont" steve exclaimed "he's got to be shitting me" just as Y/N turned her head James buchanman Barnes was stood there smiling hand in hand with his girlfriend Jessica Walsh giving her a big fluffy bear with a pink ribbon tied round it neck.Steve couldnt stop her she felt rage she never felt before in her life as she handed steve her lemonade and loosened her shoulders she stormed up to James. He turned to see Y/N as he give her a big smile only to realize she was extreamly pissed off "Hey Y/N look" jessica smiled holding up her hand to show off the ring on her finger "aww how nice who got you that" Y/N smiled aggressively "well my new fiance " Jessica smiled joyfully "Oh yeah i nearly forgot about the one and only lady charmer,best friend and forever his doll James Buchanman Barnes" before james could even reply Y/N swung her fist back and connected it to his jaw leaving james to fall to the floor holding his jaw in pain Jessica was just looking in shock nearly fainting " Goodnight james buchaman barnes" Y/N smoothing out her skirt steve stood behind her in shock,disapointment and confusion "Come on steve we better go" Y/N holding out her arm joined by steve they walked out the fair while Y/N heard her name being called by James getting fainter and fainter as she walked further away.But only if she knew that would be the last time she sees James barnes for the next 7 years .

Next moring Y/N woke up to a sore knuckle she walked to the bathroom running it under cold water before getting dressed and heading to the kitchen. Jasper sitting on the counter eating toast " I heard James got punched last night in the jaw by some girl" he laughed toast in his mouth "hmmmm wonder who done that also shut your mouth while eating it's disguting"
She said with a smile that turned into a disgusted expression.There was knock at the door " if this isnt steve and its dick barnes he getting a broken jaw for sure this time" jasper laughed at Y/N comment as she walked to the door she opened the door to be greeted by her father and steve followed by a extream confused look on Y/N face "uhhhh dad what are you doing here" she asked "pumkin i have something to say" her father stared sweating something he never done "continue" she said unsurely jasper stood behind her putting his hand on her shoulder "ummm Y/N we have to move back to England".

Right then Y/N didnt know what to say or how to move her body she was frozen not being able to move her body except from a singular tear coming down her eye.Steve huged her as she cryed into his shoulder having to bend her head for his small figure .

Y/N stood there with her bags packed and her possession wrapped in boxs.She was really moving back to England.Heading to the train station her and steve walked to the train as her brothers and father bordered the train Y/N stood with steve for a while "you know he's sorry" steve spoke " i guess he's not so sorry unless he would be here right now " Y/N laughed with sadness in her throat "the last call for train 047 leaving to England Sail Across" the voice boomed through the station.Y/N smiled at steve tears welling up in her eyes as was he's but instead of bursting into tears they laughed as they always would "i repeat last train for 047 leaving to England Sail across" he voice bommed again " alright shut up" Y/N said laughing With steve "you better get going you might miss it" steve said sadly. Y/N kissing steve cheek making him turning red "you always turn red rodgers by the next time i meet you lets hope you have a lady on your arm" Y/N smiled " Goodbye Y/N"

"I dont like goodbyes steve so i see you soon" Y/N said smiling as she boreded the train smiling tearfuly as the train was set off steve waved goodbye to his childhood friend knowing he would never see her again as Y/N carrige passed him she blew a kiss out the side of window towards steve before the train faded into the distance steve heard footsteps running behind him he turned to see James stood their locket in his hand and tears filling up in his eyes "i missed her didnt i" he tryed to smile but failed. "Buck" steve said holding his head up taking back by james hug of him crying james has been upset before but never like this never .

"I've lost her steve i've lost my doll"
